At essence bistro, we believe what makes food great is the use of fresh produce. Working with the seasons in Ontario, we get to capture the freshness using everything at its peak. The local bounty inspires us to create seasonal dishes and energizes our team to share our flavours with our guests!

Our Chef has over 20 years of experience in the culinary industry in the most prestigious establishments in the world, and knowledge of several cuisines bringing you a world fusion experience.

We are located in the charming Old Market Lane pocket known as the original Downtown Woodbridge, found on Woodbridge Avenue and a short drive from neighbouring communities such as Kleinburg, Nobleton, Bolton, and Caledon.

Had the valentines menu. Everything tasted wonderful. Was able to accommodate food restrictions on the set menu. Would definitely come again.

Essence was beautiful, the ambience was definitely the highlight of my experience there. It was very aesthetic, and gave a cozy vibe. The design of the restaurant definitely felt like we were in Europe. The burrata was AMAZING!! I also ordered the muscles - which wasn’t my favourite but they were served very nicely.
