   Waiting for food for over 30 minutes was disappointing. When I said to the waiter that it’s been like 40 minutes since I came here, he said no its only been 30. Like 30 minutes arent long enough. He then sent the manager who offered free drinks for being late but the food didn’t meet my expectations. Some of the items were really good, others just average. Overall it didn’t feel worth the money. I like Ettan on days they serve their regular menu and I hope they are live up to the expectations on the special event days too in the future.

   Lovely place for lunch. Not cheap and portions are smaller but still a nice place to try at least once.

   Gorgeous surroundings, imaginative and delicious food, and friendly staff make this a highlight of the Palo Alto dining scene. We especially liked the peanut hummus with fried sweet pepper pakoda. We look forward to try even more delicious dishes on our next visit.

   Great food. I kept being reminded that the kitchen was closing. Wasn't very friendly but definitely courteous.

   As a Michelin Guide restaurant, our expectations were sky‑high, but the experience was deeply disappointing. Every dish arrived cold, dulling the flavors the chef intended. Even worse, we discovered a hair in the panned bhurji—an unacceptable lapse in kitchen hygiene. Waiter denied it saying there’s no female in the kitchen and this must be yours. To top it off, the waiter began clearing our plates while we were still eating, making us feel rushed and unwelcome. Overall, it was a careless, sloppy experience that fell far below the standards one expects from a Michelin‑rated establishment.

   Aton has outstanding inventive Indian food. It’s wealth spiced and not for the faint of heart but if you enjoy adventurous Indian food this is your place.

   Lovely birthday dinner. Food was great but not that different in the end from the standard Indian restaurant fare. The ambience makes up for it though- the place is gorgeous

    My daughter and I had an enjoyable Sunday brunch at Ettan today. Stepping inside, the ambiance immediately felt special – elegant with its high ceilings and natural light, yet simultaneously warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed weekend meal. The covered patio area was particularly lovely on this pleasant afternoon. The Cal-Indian brunch menu was both innovative and delicious. The flavors were vibrant, presenting a wonderful blend of familiar South Indian notes, which my daughter especially appreciated given her heritage, balanced beautifully with fresh Californian ingredients. Each dish felt thoughtfully prepared and artfully presented, from the savory items we selected to the perfectly spiced chai that accompanied our meal. Unique takes on brunch classics alongside inspired Indian favorites made for a memorable selection. Service was attentive, friendly, and welcoming throughout, enhancing our pleasant experience significantly. It was a delightful way to spend part of our Sunday. Ettan offers a unique and high-quality brunch experience that we would happily recommend to others looking for something special in Palo Alto.
