Ettore Vino e Cucina is the first restaurant and wine tasting room from Ettore Winery, a boutique organic estate and winery in Mendocino, CA, spearheaded by Italian-born winemaker Ettore Biraghi and Sofia Rivier.

In collaboration with Los Angeles' beloved Italian restaurant, Osteria Mamma, Ettore Vino e Cucina brought on Chef Mònica Angelats Coll, a culinary expert with a unique background blending aerospace engineering and fine dining, to lead the kitchen.

The menu is inspired by the team’s Italian heritage and will feature signature dishes like Ettore Tagliatelle Ai Funghi, a red wine pasta with mushrooms, kale, pecorino and hazelnuts and Stinco Di Agnello Con Patatine Al Parmigiano, braised lamb shank, fingerling potatoes and parmigiano reggiano. The restaurant showcases a beautifully-curated design of charming vintage pieces that have a story to tell, creating a one-of-a-kind dining atmosphere.

The restaurant will be open 7 days a week from 11am to 9pm, walk-ins are welcome.

Excellent in every way. The food was superb and the atmosphere is very charming. A bastion of cozy in the middle of the hectic Farmer's Market. Loved our meal.

What a wonderful addition to the Farmers Market! The house wines (from Mendocino county) were lovely. We did the flight to try 3 to decide which bottle to purchase. We loved the tastes of all 3 (Chardonnay Reserve; Rosso; and Cabernet Sauvignon) and decided on the Rosso. For starters we shared the chickpea fritters and two of the salads; the beets and arugula and the eggplant and peppers. And for dinner we shared the Cacio e Pepe as well as the lamb shank. It was the perfect amount of food for the 4 of us. It’s a cute quiet spot off to the side of the market. I hope they get enough foot traffic, they deserve a good shot! Osteria Mamma family. Give it a go!

Seems like they are still working out some kinks. We had a very long wait for our server after we were seated and an even longer wait between the first and main courses. My dish came out at a slightly less than ideal temperature after that long wait.

I love this place. The food is delicious and the staff is super friendly. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the interior portion of the restaurant more intimate. Also, they need more heat -- which I know they are working on. I wish them the best of luck with this new venture - I will keep coming back for sure. Also, I suggest some type of lunch specials.

Restaurant has so much potential but missed the mark, at least tonight. 1. Made an online reservation for “olive tree” outside to which the hostess told me that everyone else did as well so there was no space for us. A table did open up later but we were already comfortable 2. The $16 skewer is just absurd - 3 tiny pieces of octopus and 3 tiny pieces of sausage 3. We asked for bread, they brought 3 tiny pieces. Then I asked can we buy a serving of bread and they said they were out of bread (on a prime Saturday night at 7pm) 4. The service was not good or bad. They sort of all seemed indifferent to everything. 5. Pasta wasn’t bad 6. Salad was very underwhelming The overall experience was very mediocre and I never leave reviews just kind of left underwhelmed and it was for a friends bday so I wanted it to be special. Oh, the dessert was pretty good too.

First of all, the first impression & look of the restaurant is really pretty. A true standout in the Farmer's Market. I would say that I think they should dim the lights some for dinner to give it a bit more of a cozy mood - lights were a bit too bright for that really pretty restaurant. I did make a reservation here for "outdoor patio" or "olive trees" (I think they call it), but when I showed up (early) for my reservation, the host said the only table available was one inside. Not my favorite for a restaurant to switch up your table location when you have been asked to indicate where you want to sit; and with no acknowledgment of "the table you requested is not available". But again, not a huge deal. Just a bit of a miss, especially in a relatively new restaurant. Our table started with the calamari, which tasted great. They do not serve enough aioli for the amount of calamari, but the flavors are spot on. I ordered the lasagna rolls based on reviews I had read as well as the waitress's recommendation. They were wonderful. I don't usually order lasagna because it's usually too heavy, but this is the perfect fix. The flavors are wonderful as well as the texture and it's just light enough to not make you feel like you've had a heavy meal. I also ordered the wine flight, because I wanted to taste the wines since the restaurant is spawned from the Mendocino winery. I liked all 3 I chose. I understand flights are typically served all 3 at a time, but in this case, the server places 3 large wine glasses in front of you, each wine you've chosen all at once. It looks a bit ridiculous. I would say that for the flight, the restaurant should have smaller glasses or just serve them 1 at a time. It's not a large space, so I think it would be easy enough to manage if you spaced them out. All said, I think there are minor details that could be looked at & if adjusted, this could be truly excellent. But we were more than satisfied. Happy, in fact, after our meal.

Very good, if limited, Italian menu. Excellent wine list, but the prices are not for the faint. Got 2 hour parking validation. We were over by 15 minutes and had to pay $14.50 at the farmers market. Makes me think, there are other good Italian restaurants with free parking.

Ettore is a wonderful addition to the Farmers Market. My wife and I ate there for the first time and were very impressed. Our salad appetizer and both pasta dishes were all excellent, as was the red wine. Also great value for money. We’ll be back!

Outstanding experience overall. Unbelievably kind and pleasant staff, especially considering this is Los Angeles. Wine was stellar and every food dish better than the one before. Already planning to go back. Next time bringing my dog…yeah, dog-friendly too…Perfection.
