   This is a composite review of dining experience on 3 straight evenings (severe weather kept us close to the hotel). Mostly the food was quite excellent with favorites being the burger and fries (one of the best I’ve had), the beet salad with chili oil dressing, and the scallops (perfectly done). Risotto was solid but a bit heavy. Carrots were tasty but definitely need some work in visual presentation. Cocktails were good and the bar is well stocked with some great gin and whiskey choices. Servers were consistently excellent - attentive, knowledgeable, really good. Only real disappointment was the sea bass which was overcooked, only average in terms of flavor, and way (way) overpriced. That’s a pretty solid record over 3 straight nights and I would dine there again when in town.

   My girlfriend and I chose Evelyn's for our Valentine's Day dinner and we are so happy that we did. The food was amazing and service was the best we've had in a year of living in Nashville. The meals and drinks came out quickly and our server Maddy was so kind. She went above and beyond to make our experience even better. We can't wait to come back!

   My husband and I joined another couple for a lovely Valentine’s Day dinner. Everything was sublime, especially the cocktails. One diners steak came out with too much pepper, but they quickly remedied that issue and brought her another one that was exactly as described on the menu. 10/10 would recommend!

   Evelyn’s was the perfect Valentine’s date location. There was a great atmosphere, quiet with moderate lighting, and the food was delicious. Get the honey biscuits, you won’t regret it!

   This was my second visit to Evelyn's and won't be my last. Both times, the food was very good. This time, the service was good but really slow. They offer two hours free parking which is very nice. Because the server was so slow, one person in our group went two minutes over the two hours (after rushing to get to her car) and was charged. That was disappointing. Overall, we would go again.

   Because this restaurant is located in the very upscale Hutton Hotel, we assumed it would be a lovely place for brunch. It was nearly empty when we arrived on a Sunday morning. The menu is innovative, however the meals were simply OK and not hot when they arrived at our table. The service was exceptional, though. At this price point, fresh, squeezed juice and specialty coffees would be expected. Neither were provided.

   Evelyn’s was fantastic. The ambience was excellent. The food and service were outstanding. We started with the carrots, beets and okra small plates. All were lovely with interesting flavor combinations. For our main meal we had grits au gratin, yams, shorts ribs, chicken and trout. Every dish was delicious and the portions were perfect for sharing. Our table was comfortable and the space lent itself to easy table conversation. You could easily hear each other. We will most definitely be back.

    Steak was tough and cooked to the wrong temperature and pork chops were burnt. They were also having trouble with their fire alarm so it kept going off during the meal.
