The product of an unparalleled commitment to innovation and quality, it’s our labor of love for our uncommon family. Welcome to Exile, we’re far from ordinary.

We meticulously brew, package, and test all of our beer at our historic brewery in Des Moines. Exile is available for distribution throughout, and only in, Iowa.

Everything in our Beer Kitchen is locally sourced and made from scratch.

    We were on our way to the Symphony and made a reservation for before. The food is always good and this night was also. We love to go for a casual meal

    Probably didn't need a reservation for 11am on a Sunday. We were the first ones there, and the place was far from full when we left.

    2 of us had the weekly special - burnt ends and a blackened snapper. My blackened snapper might be a top meal of all time - it was fantastic! Blackened snapper in a red pepper crème sauce with diced baby reds and asparagus- it was amazing! My husband really enjoyed the burnt ends sandwich. My daughter had the veggie ramen and said it was great - a little spicy, but great flavor overall. Great beers to top it all off! Excellent visit to Exile!!

    My husband & I love Exile. It’s in our regular rotation of restaurants. It has awesome beer & the food is on point. The service is usually very good but occasionally there’s some delays. I realize this is a common occurrence in the food service industry so it’s really not a big deal. I recommend Exile for a date night, outing with family/friends or a special celebration.

    Meeting old friends for a fun night out! First time for all of us to try Exile and we were not disappointed. Great service and excellent food and beer made a wonderful night out for all of us. Thank you!

    Our server made the whole night. She was awesome! She told us all about the brewery and got us samples of some of the different beers since we had never been there before. She even thanked us and said that we made her night! She was great at recommending food options as well.
