Fado is such a cute cool authentic Portuguese restaurant with great food, great wine, and great staff. Highly recommend if you like portuguese food or want to try it

Made a reservation here to celebrate my fiancé's birthday and catch up with some old friends I haven't seen in forever. Was a completely embarrassing experience. There's 1 server and 1 bartender for the whole restaurant on a Friday night and this place has been there 4 years. Bartender is the owner ad saw us waiting at the hostess stand. He left us there for 20 plus minutes. We finally got seated and it was another30 minutes to get water filled and 45 for drinks w little to no alcohol in them. It was a full hour before we even could put in an appetizer order. We tried to order more drinks, some came, some didn't. And a few rounds we gave up ordering drinks. 2 people at our party gave up and walked out when it's over an hour and no dinner order was taken. I personally had to grab water pitchers and fill up my guests waters. When the food finally came, yes, it was good. But there's no way I would ever go back. There's too many restaurants in Tampa/St Pete to be embarrassed by your choice. We had originally wanted to hit a bar after dinner but with being stuck there 3.5 hours, nobody wanted to do anything but go home. The experience ruined the night. I waited tables and worked in restaurants in college and I've never witnessed anything as bad as that on a Friday night.

Amazing place, authentic and interesting. Excited to have a different cuisine to choose from. Proud of the owner for taking a chance- this place is under rated. Have not had octopus so tender. Highly recommend

The real deal for a taste of Portugal right here in Florida. The sardines and Bachalau were delicious!

My meal was very tasty, but my husband’s was just so-so. Service was a bit lacking and there was some language barrier. Felt strange that we were offered no wine list, we were verbally given just one option for a glass of red wine.

Food was Ok, average at best. It certainly was a disappointment to what we had expected. The service was very poor. It took 15-20 minutes for the waiter to acknowledge us at the table and pour a glass of water, then another 15 before they came back again to see what we wanted. He never checked on us after serving food and after we were finished, he walked by 3X and said he would be right back but never stopped by. Finally, I asked for the check and paid the bill and left with our dirty dishes still on the table. We certainly will not be returning to this restaurant as there are way too many other good restaurants to choose from.

Lived in Portugal for three years and take every opportunity to eat Portuguese food whenever we can. Deliciously authentic restaurant with superb customer service. Will definitely visit if we are even in St Petersburg again.

Skip this one; service was bad and manager was worse. Waited nearly two hours for our meals in an almost empty restaurant and then another 15 minutes in between the first meal and the last being brought out from the kitchen. Food was fine but overall not worth your time…

Is the holidays those people have to realize that a lot of people come to eat to have only two waiter serving the whole entire dining room is not nice
