   We arrived early but were seated immediately. Service was friendly and attentive. Our steaks were grilled perfectly and were generous proportions… very tasty. Will definitely return and will recommend The Famous to others.

   Expected a better food experience. The filet was difficult to cut, partly due to the knife, but my experience with a prime filet is it should melt in your mouth and this one did not. The ambiance was very nice as was the service. The side portions were large, however, overall experience was disappointing.

   The steak was different than it had been prepared on previous visits. The outside was more burned than seared and the overall texture and flavor was not up to The Famous I was used to. My husband’s meal, the salmon, was wonderfully presented and tasted marvelous. I wouldn’t say I would never return as it is one of my favorite places for steak but it was disappointing. The service and atmosphere were as always superb.

   The food was AMAZING! The staff is very pleasant and so helpful! It was a Saturday night so it was a little loud but we were seated on time and everything was delicious!

   The food was absolutely wonderful and filling. The portion sizes were large and the drinks were great. The staff were even better though, our waiter was attentive and kind and the manager was very helpful during a particularly stressful situation where we thought for a moment my husband was having an allergic reaction to something. He wasn’t but the way the staff handled it made me feel comfortable and very appreciative. Can’t wait to go back!

   First time here. Food was good, MIL loved the Salmon. Crab cakes were tasty, I loved the carpaccio. The steaks were tasty and well seasoned but the rib eye was not as tender as we would’ve liked. Overall we had a great experience and would come back again.

   I ordered a variety of steak cuts, appetizers and sides. The food was worth the value of a higher end steakhouse. The seating could have been more comfortable, though. Overall, the food, wine and atmosphere made for a good date night. I would recommend you try this place if in downtown Colorado Springs.

    My family, including my two young daughters, go to the Famous fairly frequently and order pretty much the same thing. On our most recent visit, my daughter ordered a strip steak, cooked medium. They brought her steak cooked no more than medium rare, cool red center. Our server argued with me that, at the Famous, what we were looking at they consider medium well. He did offer, though, to cook it more. What came back was about the same. With a laugh, he took it back to the kitchen. By the time we got it back, the rest of the family had finished. A manager apologized but we still paid for our half-eaten, charred on the outside steak. This isn't the first time steaks have come out questionable. Bottom line, we love the Famous for its ambience, atmosphere and onion rings. I would never recommend it for folks wanting a well prepared, quality steak.
