We started Fatto a Mano in Brighton in 2015, serving authentic and affordable Neapolitan pizza, made with fresh ingredients, in a friendly environment. For us, everything starts with our dough. Soft and pillowy, our pizza dough is made fresh every day, using only the best Italian 00 flour, salt, water and yeast. We let our dough prove for at least 24 hours – the slow proving means we’re able to use minimal quantities of yeast, so our pizzas are light and easily digestible. We use carefully selected Italian and local British ingredients from a handful of small, independent suppliers to top our pizzas. Finally, our pizzaioli cook the pizzas in our oven at about 450 degrees, for no more than 90 seconds, in true Neapolitan style.

PIZZA

Naples is the birthplace of pizza… Soft and pillowy, rather than thin and crispy or a pizza pie. Our dough is made by us every day, proved for a minimum of 24 hours, then topped by our pizzaioli who cook every pizza in our ovens at 450+ degrees. Buon appetito!

Lovely family meal - all the food was delicious, fantastic service and we got a free pizza after having a voucher delivered through our door. Great marketing tactic, we'll be back for sure!

It needs refurb. Especially the food smell on our clothes made us think not to go again.

Hello! Thank you for your feedback. We spent a significant amount of money on a major refurbishment at the end of 2024, closing for 2 weeks to make sure that the environment of the pizzeria was up to scratch to do justice to the efforts that we put in to the food and service. We really do care about this - so would really appreciate if you could send further feedback about what exactly you think needs refurbishing? We always want to be the best we can and we always listen. Thank you so much.

For reasons none of us remember and certainly no-one would want to challenge we always go to Fatto a Mano for lunch on Christmas Eve. The pizzas were gorgeous (special mention for the lovely vegan truffle pizza!) and the waiting staff very attentive and fun, clearly enjoying their work.

Excellent on all accounts. Booking advised as it is very busy, and for good reason! Excellent food and service and atmosphere. One person’s calzone took a bit longer to come out and the chef sent free fries whilst we waited. Pizza was the best we’ve had, absolutely delicious. Would never have known my pizza was gluten free! 10/10 will be coming back again!
