Very uncomfortable atmosphere, loud, service was ok but they were not busy and we waited nearly 30 minutes to see a server after we were seated?

Server was very accommodating and courteous! Shrimp Scampi was delicious! Yummy slice of NY Cheesecake.

Food was ok. However, the rice for the red beans and rice as well as the ettoufe was undercooked and crunchy. Service was slow and not what you would expect from an expensive restaurant.

I had a reso for 6:30 on 11/10. When we arrived, there was no one at the reception station. About 3 mins later a young lady (poorly dressed) appeared. I told her we had a reso for 6:30 and we wanted inside. She proceeded to tell me that the main dinning room (on a Sunday evening on the beach) was closed because they were short 2 servers and the only tables were in the bar and on the deck. We told her no thank you and left. My wife commend how dirty and poorly lit the entrance and bar area were. We used to frequent this location when it was Hemmingway's... my have things gone downhill.

We chose this spot mainly because it was the nicest looking restaurant from the beach, looked like it had great deck views and it did not disappoint. We got a table right by the beach and the food was all so good. The crab legs were cooked in a "garlic bath" which was as amazing as it sounds. Great experience!
