Built in 1927, Fig313 stands today as an original historical landmark of San Clemente, with a history that is meant to be shared with its seaside community. Carefully constructed in the Spanish Colonial Revival style, distinctive design features include red-tile roofs, white stucco walls, hand-crafted windows and arches, painted tiles, and open-air courtyards.
Originally owned for the first 33 years by John and Jeanette Riley, 313 El Camino Real was renowned as Riley’s Waffle and Coffee Shop. Legend has it that actor John Wayne frequented the restaurant for a hearty American breakfast along with many travelers from all over the world. From 1960 on, Riley’s Café would change ownership many times, evolving into a furniture store, French restaurant, tequila company, and catering business. In 2012, the current owners purchased the property and began renovations and restoration, while staying true to the integrity of the original style.
Parking for Fig 313 is available on the street directly in front of the building on El Camino Real, as well as at the church located on the street directly above the building at 119 Avenida De La Estrella, San Clemente, CA 92672. A private staircase is available on the left-hand side of Fig @ 313 which will lead directly to our entrance.

We went for my birthday and it was a wonderful experience! Everything we ordered was delicious, the ambiance was elegant, the service was extraordinary, and I love that this local spot is also a piece of San Clemente History!

If I could give more than five stars, I would! Our experience at FIG 313 was absolutely incredible. We came to celebrate my mom's birthday, and the staff went above and beyond to make it special.
From the start, the hostess, April, was incredibly kind and attentive. She helped me find the perfect seating, considering both the weather and noise level, and ended up placing us in the private room which was so cozy, intimate, and perfect for the occasion. She even checked in on us throughout the night, making us feel truly cared for. Our server, Adam, was just as fantastic. He was patient, friendly, and made excellent recommendations for the food and drinks. Everything was absolutely delicious! If you're looking for a restaurant that delivers both outstanding food and exceptional service, this is the place. We will definitely be back. Thank you for making our night so special!

Went for a valentine dinner with my wife and our 8 yr old daughter. Food was excellent, service was great! They even interacted with our daughter to make her included. Highly recommend. Will definitely be returning.
