Firewood features American heirloom cuisine with seasonal menu rotations to incorporate the freshest regional produce. Many dishes will be prepared over open flame using chef-selected wood like cedar, cherry and maple to enhance flavor.     They were very accommodating when we wanted to switch up the tables. The service was pleasant and the food was good.

    Awful service. Absolutely terrible. We were seated much past our reservation. The server was efficient in bringing the first round of cocktails (for a 4 person table). Server took our full order. 2 of the 4 appetizers never arrived. The 2nd course dish was missed. Then our entrees arrived much later, all by a “runner” and not our server. By this point, every single member in our party (keep it mind it’s only 4 - 2 males and 2 females) have all been empty on drinks for 30+ minutes, with no visit from our server. The server finally arrived to check on how our entrees were once they arrived. For the price and the “prestige” of this restaurant, it was an ABSOLUTE disappointment. Zero apologies were given either. Our party is a very very mild, respectful group and was still incredibly disappointed.

    Dined in the bar in the basement. Cozy & awesome atmosphere. Aaron was awesome! Had the Elk, which was so tender, you could cut it with a fork! will be sure to return next time in PC!

    We enjoyed the restaurant during the Christmas Holiday arguably the busiest time of the year, so service while good was impacted by the sold out zoo conditions. Food was incredible, and clearly the Chef is masterful at flavor palates and his team’s execution was good. All the food was delicious and proper temperatures. The consensus favorites were the Wagyu Bavette steak and the Mushroom and Zucchini appetizer with cashew cheese. Never heard of cashew cheese but it was like a bed of mash potatoe like cheese goodness with assorted wild sautéed mushrooms and thin “zoodles” on top. It was the bomb. The gem lettuce salad was our second course and then the steak. Which was perfectly charred on the outside to a dark coal colored black crust and a lovely medium rare pink center. Thinly sliced and was an Absolutely perfect bite. French cheese cake was a delish dessert. Back to service the waitress loves the menu and pushed to some good stuff, we loved her enthusiasm for the chef’s creations. Also handled the wine list very well. The bus staff and others pitched in and the table was always perfectly cleared and water filled, which in Park City it essential. Will recommend to my friends and go back again. Great addition to the Main Street! Good job chef!!

    We ate two dinners at Firewood, the first in the upstairs dining room and the second in the downstairs. Service was good and attentive. Both rooms were attractive and warm. Downstairs was darker and more intimate. Prices were extraordinarily high, and I live in DC, so that says something. This was a common experience in Park City: unjustifiably high prices for food and drink. All of the meals we ordered at Firewood were good, but in fashionable restaurants in DC they would have cost between $28-$40. Firewood charged $77 for a mediocre-quality Wagyu steak. The preparation was fine; the quality of the meat was inferior. The chicken entree was priced at $44. Chicken. At least the portion sizes skewed larger. The first courses were fairer in the sense that the portions were suitably sized and priced. Bison carpaccio, wild mushrooms, and smoked trout were standouts.

    Memorable cuisine, creative, healthy, and utterly delicious. Don’t be put off by the wood fire concept. Flavors were quite varied and a variety of cooking levels on the wood fire grill allow for great variation. The trout toast appetizer was amazing. The salmon best ever. Loved the olive oil cake!! Everything was perfect! Our waiter was attentive and on top of everything without being at all intrusive. It will be our first choice in Park City when we visit again
