   We had a really lovely evening. The food was all delicious - I had the scallops with fennel, mash and broccoli with a garlic cream sauce and all of it was cooked beautifully with great flavours.

   If a fish restaurant can’t cook fresh prawns in batter for starters then there is a problem. They were off the shelf bought in purchased somewhere else and just chucked in the oven. Won’t be going back. Even I can cook them at home and only take 10 mins.

   The Food was mostly delicious. Just a couple of dishes that we felt were overpriced and lacked imagination, the Tempura prawns especially. The chilli and garlic prawns lacked flavour which was a shame as it was a lovely looking dish, there was no sizzle though! Mains, no complaints, was all delicious and the portion sizes were excellent. Desserts were a disappointment in our opinion, which was a shame. It was really busy as a Saturday evening and the waitresses did their best, but service was slow, nice if you like a bit of space between courses though, and there were couple of times it felt like they were inexperienced, couldn't get the cork out of the wine bottle, omitted to tell us the banoffee pie had sold out till all desserts were out and didn't offer an alternative, got some of the desserts mixed up. Having said all that it was a lovely atmosphere, we would go again and we loved the mains food. We weren't rushed at all and we were made to feel very welcome. Hopefully next time I'll be able to give it a 5 star rating overall.

    Overall food was excellent and service great. Only fault was my husband had monkfish in pancetta and felt he needed a little more jus to make it outstanding as it was a little dry.
