Créé en 1999, le Fish! était le premier restaurant de ce genre à Londres. Son concept est simple : vous servir la meilleure qualité de poisson, concocté devant vos yeux, d'une manière simple et classique. Depuis 1999, son objectif n'a jamais changé, la qualité et l'approvisionnement responsable sont toujours sa principale préoccupation. Cependant, il est encore plus chic maintenant! Sa situation centrale dans le marché de Borough permet d'obtenir les meilleurs produits de Londres à quelques pas. Ce restaurant est fier de pouvoir s'approvisionner la plupart du temps au marché de Borough et le poisson est livré tous les jours par le poissonnier, Jarvis, réputé pour sa vaste gamme de poissons et fruits de mer frais.

Overall we had a good time but were unimpressed with a few details. After we’d ordered we were told that they didn’t have enough of one of the specials. Obviously we should have been told this before ordering. The smoked burrata with smoked salmon and rocket was generous in the quantity of salmon but not in the amount of burrata, which was tiny. The clam chowder had no flavour. The fish and chips mains were decent but could have done with more mushy peas. The Asian crab bun was a little dry but nice and crispy, and the grilled scallops and artichokes were tasty, but the sauce that came with them was bland. The bread and butter pudding was a huge portion and well flavoured. The chocolate mousse went down well too. The wine menu is good and unusually well priced for London. Service was friendly but we had to ask a few times for more water.

The menu was varied so plenty of choice. The food was good and the staff responsive. Wine was fine. Cost reasonable. Noise level a bit high for me but that is a common problem! Altogether a very pleasant early dinner. Only slight criticism was that the chowder was a bit thin.

Been here several times. Views towards Borough Market wherever you are seated. My friends all rave about the fish. Only one choice for vegetarians - delicious, but I’ve had it three times now. Great staff. Will keep coming back.

Have been to Fish on several occasions in the past. And although it never reaches the heights of other restaurants I go to, it's always pleasant and enjoyable. The food was good without being outstanding. The service was excellent, although I arrived at 5.15 and it was quiet, before getting busy and quite noisy. Overall, nothing to complain about. Nice food, well presented with attentive service. Just wish the rather hard chairs could be improved upon!
