   From Lunchtime Mishap to Dinnertime Magic! Tried to have lunch at Fishworks today, but it looked like things had gone a little… sideways. Tables were empty, staff were flustered, and from what I gathered, the party had somehow moved outside (whether by accident or design, I’m still not sure). For a second, I considered setting up a picnic on the pavement, but before I could commit, Kate, the lovely manager, swooped in. Instead of just apologizing and coming up with excuses, she did something even better—she invited me back for dinner. And thank goodness I returned! Prawns? Divine! The fish? Perfectly cooked. And the best part? Watching Kate and the chef in their element, passionately preparing a special plater dish for a big party next door. What a duo! And we got some tasters!!! Would I come back? Absolutely! Will I bring more people next time! 100% Fish does work here!

   Nice and varied menu. It wasn't exceptional enough for the price point however. Most dishes require side dishes, so it is expensive, even for london.

   We love Fishworks and go regularly. Great fish (try the mixed grill) and fair prices. Always a reliable venue when meeting family or friends in central London. A better selection of English beers (not Euro-fizz) and a Stout would be nice!

   The service was brilliant and the food was amazing. Fresh fish with amazing flavour especially the soup. You get absolute value for money with the dishes they have on offer.

   As a starter, the fish soup was delicious, but it was blended, and I would have preferred the pieces of fish in it. The tuna carpaccio was very tasty! The fish platter for two was excellent—varied and incredibly fresh. The service was also extremely friendly and helpful. Fishwork is highly recommended!

   The service couldn't be faulted, wish I could say the same about the food, the fruit de mer, was washed out and tasteless, apart from the oysters, the red mullet was really nice, but quite small, the main course of mussel's was tiny, and not good value for the price payed, the bouillabaisse, had a vast of oil floating with about 3mm of oil, which I have never experienced on before this dish elsewhere, and it was completely taste less and watery as well, the cheese course was was one of the stars of the meal, but over all it was a disappointing meal for the price

    Great fresh monkfish in relaxed, clean, comfortable setting. very friendly service, perhaps could have been a bit quicker given it was fairly quiet and Fruit de Mer a little disappointing on taste but I realise it is mid winter and am sure other choices will be excellent. Overall I definitely recommend and will return for its good value (way better than its posh neighbour Bentleys), and loved the choice of fresh fish.
