   Visited for Sunday lunch which was delicious, roast beef was cooked to perfection and very tender , crispy potato’s and probably one of the best cauliflower cheeses I’ve had a a side. Good portions. Shared a crumble for desert which was very tasty . Great advice on wine. service was friendly and attentive . Thanks to Ksi & the team .

   We had a lovely meal for my husband’s birthday. Relaxed and cosy ambience, great food and excellent service. We will definitely return.

   We go here a lot and that’s because everything about the Five Bells is outstanding. Wonderful food, wonderful staff and such a lovely atmosphere. Sonia is really lovely and so is ‘D’Artagnan’ great staff and a credit to the Five Bells. Everything is scrupulously clean and tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed and thoroughly recommended. We always take home a couple of their pizzas too!

   Lovely evening.. food amazing! The bar staff could be a bit more attentive in coming round to see if guests needed more drinks.. we’d have had 2/3 more drinks otherwise. Lovely atmosphere and a great place.

   Food was exceptional. Service and staff fabulous. Would highly recommend this pub and the food. Rooms also available to stay and again highly recommend

   I’ve visited here before for food and I have stayed here also. I brought my friend for a celebration of her promotion at work. We arrived slightly early, and the bar staff asked if I was Karen. I was not. It took a while to be seated, because they didn’t know what table to put us on, so felt like we were a little unexpected, which is odd as I had booked. The young waitress that served us, was lovely. She gave us recommendations and had a little chat and a joke with us. She offered my friend extra time to choose her drink. Lovely girl. The food was outstanding as normal, no complaints at all. The vibe at the five bells is always lovely, and the smell of the fires is comforting. The addition to the outside rooms with the heaters are beautiful, and a nice surprise from my last visit. Beautiful venue suitable for all weathers. When I booked, I did note that it was a celebration and any celebration touches would be appreciated. This was not acted on, however, as stated they thought we were someone else, so perhaps why. Overall, stunning evening, stunning food, and a lovely waitress. I’m just sorry I didn’t have any cash to tip her with. Thankyou.

   Lovely lunch in comfortable surroundings, great food and service. Highly recommended and will return soon (the fudge was amazing)

   Beautiful pub/restaurant. Arrival friendly, servers were ok but not really trained, this was noted, by a server reaching across the customers plate to place a pot of mayonnaise across to me. Takes no time at all to train your staff. If we weren’t with friends I would have complained, burger was cold but chips scorching, and burger meat had rubbery bits in it. Pizza was average, fish and chips were ok. Cider was excellent

   Had the roast dinner. Dry chicken and dry potatoes (possibly overcooked?) nowhere near enough vegetables shame really as the pub itself is really pretty. Overall extremely disappointing.
