   The restaurant was beautiful and family oriented, the staff were nice and professional and our waitress Asia was catering to all of our needs, differently will be returning all 5 of us ,Good Job

   The food is outstanding. Fried chicken tender but crispy. Shrimp and grits flavorful. Greens and Mac & Cheese very very good. Fixings, some of the best food in the “D”.

   Very pleased with the restaurant. Food was great and so was the staff. Only down side was parking. Due to the Monster Jam going on downtown, parking was very hard to find or very very expensive. The lot directly across the street was $60...crazy. I know this had nothing to do with the restaurant itself but it did put a small damper in the day. I will definitely return during the week or when there isn't a big event happening. There are more menu items I would love to try.

   The service was amazing. Champagne was wonderful!!! The food was good. We had the fried chicken, yams, shrimp and grits, fish, gumbo, and red beans and rice. I expected better of the chicken but everything else made up for it. One major disappointment was that the tails were left on the shrimp in the shrimp and grits 😫 I’d definitely go back though.

   Food and service was great. Nice ambience. Wait time was long. We had reservations for 8:00, didn’t get seated until about 8:40. We were told that there were no tables available. A little disappointing because I thought that was the whole purpose of reservations.

   My experience overall was OK. I normally don’t write reviews, however the service made my experience not as enjoyable. The waitress I had was not attentive AT ALL. She only came back to my table maybe 2-3 times during the hour and 45 minutes that I was there. It was NOT BUSY during this time. I found myself looking around for her and she was no where in sight for extended periods of time. I waited at-least 30-40 minutes after I was done eating just to receive my bill, which was thrown on the table. I didn’t realize until after the fact that I was also overcharged, so please take a careful look at your bill. However the food was pretty good. I will return at-least once more to see if my experience with the service is improved.

   Today was my second trip to Fixins and the food is simply excellent! On my first trip, we had a large party and everyone enjoyed their selections. Today, the waiter was very knowledgeable and recommended the oxtails. They were awesome and a generous amount! Cornbread is wonderful. I had greens and yams too. I haven’t tried dessert yet but I feel confident I won’t be disappointed!

    Our server was very knowledgeable about the food and drink menus. She made good recommendations and was very attentive. Our food came out quickly, was piping hot and everything was delicious. The portions are generous. The hostess and other servers were very pleasant as well. This was a great dining experience.
