   Excellent staff/service, exceptional cuisine (my fav tuna tartare chicken paillard or sole). Crafted cocktails are a great way to start your meal evening. Amazing atmosphere inside holds its own with the stunning harbor views. Love to sit at bar when with a friend or two.

   Our server rushed us from the moment we sat down. Here we celebrating our 50th anniversary. Plenty of open tables next to the windows and they stuck us in the back side of the restaurant and after starting eating stuck a person in the bar table behind my wife with two other tables open in that row and then a couple right next to us with several other empty tables. The food was just fair. My wife had the Arroz Del Senyoret for $46 which had limited seafood that was chopped up into small pieces and overcooked/dried up. I had the George’s bank scallops that were over cooked and 3 were small in size and 2 average in size. I never had scallops that seemed tough but these were. Overall the dish lacked any flavor. We had a nice bottle of red wine that we paid $70 for. We had our check in about 45 minutes. First time here and it will be are last. Many other much better restaurants in Newport.

   Excellent! Service was great. Atmosphere is classical chic. Menu is thoughtful. Portion sizes were a bit small. But flavor was outstanding. I can't wait to return.

   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Flora, and I must say, it was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The moment I walked in, I was captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance. The décor strikes the perfect balance between elegance and comfort, creating a welcoming atmosphere that made me feel right at home. Now, let’s talk about the food – simply divine! Each dish I tried was a masterpiece, showcasing not only the chef’s incredible skill but also the use of fresh, high-quality ingredients. I started with the Pulpo A La Plancha and Tuna Carpaccio which was bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. For the main course, I opted for the Puy Lentils and Kale, and it exceeded all my expectations. The balance of flavors was perfect, and every bite was a delightful experience. The attention to detail in both the presentation and taste truly sets Flora apart from others. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent service that enhanced the overall dining experience. I genuinely felt valued as a guest, and their recommendations were spot-on! Overall, Flora at Gardiner House is a gem that I highly recommend to anyone looking for a memorable meal in a stunning setting. I can’t wait to return and explore more of their menu.    We came for restaurant week in Newport. We actually live here and just discovered it because of Open Table. When we arrived, the polite valet welcomed us to The newly opened hotel. We were already impressed with the building, but inside…just wow, what a place! Traveled up the beautiful staircase and it’s like stepping back into an old black and white 1940’s movie. Elegant, but cozy. The decor is warm and has that “bougie” feel. Great first date place! The service and management staff all were on point. Not one table waiting very long. Everyone was truly enjoying the vibe. The restaurant, itself, does not hold a lot of people. It is quite intimate and the only down side, is that the table for two set up was very tight. Our server, Danielle, was lovely and attentively waited our table throughout our dinner. We ordered a variety of selections, including one of the pre fix for Restaurant Week”. I’m a strict vegetarian and still had plenty of options. Danielle was very knowledgeable concerning my situation and I ended up getting a side of mashed sweet potatoes, along with the shiitake rigatoni dish ,while my hubby had the pork loin. She was very good helping navigate the menu and make choices. We enjoyed a bottle of our favorite Amarone and had dessert as well; bread pudding and the panna cotta custard . Everything is served with professionalism and is delicious as well! This place will be very difficult to get reservations soon , as it’s sure to be a top tier favorite . We were told they will begin lunch and an a la carte menu soon. We will surely make Flora our new dining destination!
