Owned and operated by John Crook and his partner Erik Heck, The Flying Pig Yaletown is referred to as a nouveau Canadian bistro in the community for its fresh, local ingredients and quality food. The restaurant opened for business in August 2011 and is known for its contemporary Canadian and seafood specials. It has a nice décor comprising of a combination of dark and light colored wooden furniture, along with brick style and white painted walls. The ambiance is casual and welcoming, and customers prefer to have brunch, lunch and dinner here.

The Flying Pig Yaletown has separate menus for dinner, lunch, brunch and happy hour. There is also a wine & beverage list featuring different types of drinks from the restaurant's full bar. The Flying Pig Yaletown has a private room reserved for small gatherings and special events, which can accommodate up to 28 people.

It was a great experience. Started off at the bar for some happy hour drinks then we were given a choice of tables. Food was awesome! The server was wonderful. I would definitely recommend and planning a return.

We've been coming to this amazing restaurant ever since we moved to Vancouver, and it never disappoints! The food is always delicious, and their beef short ribs are simply chef’s kiss—so tender and flavorful. Their happy hour menu is a total steal, offering great food at unbeatable prices. Whether it’s a casual meal or just stopping by for some good eats, this place is always a solid choice. Highly recommend!

Salmon cakes could use a wedge or 2 of lemon. Coconut prawns are great. Poutine way too salty. We live in Yaletown and used to do Flying Pig from day one to before covid. We always found you were too heavy-handed with the salt so eventually stopped patronizing you. But will start frequenting your establishment again. Thank you.

The food was great and good value. It was very loud due to a large.group of men beside us, making it hard to hear dinner companions.

Flying Pig is our go to very often. We love the vibe, food, and drinks. Dave has always been accommodating to us. We keep going back.
