Foghorn Brewery was born of a dream to make craft beer the way it ought to be made—from grain to glass all under one roof.

The historic building in King Street had been abandoned for several years when we first set foot inside. In that dusty old warehouse, we saw the potential to create something really special.

And so it was that Newcastle’s first modern craft brewery opened its doors in April 2015. The town’s industrial roots have played a big part in shaping the unique character of Foghorn Brewery. Built from the ground up, this art deco era warehouse with exposed roof trusses now houses a custom 1800 litre brewery.

Our "brewery" function area is separated from the rest of the venue by a walkway and we section it off with plants to offer a semi-private feel. Great local brewery with a varied selection of drinks. We had the guided tour too and this was really informative. Would definitely recommend.

We always have dinner at FogHorn whenever we're in Newcastle. The beers and the pizzas are fantastic! It's roomy and there's a kids' play area.

Thank you to the lovely staff, we all had a beautiful Christmas lunch, the food, the drinks and the service were excellent.

Food was delicious and drinks fine, but the line up for drinks, then the line up for food was ridiculous. In the end we had 5 minutes to hoof down our meal before heading to our show. Need more service cashiers and make it clear that you could order food and drinks at the food line!

Last minute booking, and very appreciative for that. Dinner before a show at Civic Theatre, which was a short walk. All staff amazing food was good.
