   I’ve been to Fogo in Portland somewhere near 20-30 times over the years. I’ve been a champion for the business and enticed others to dine there as well. The last two times I have been there have been lackluster at best. Tonight sort of sealed the deal. We came to celebrate my son and I’s birthday. It was his 21st, so it was very special. We had a party of 9 and had reservation days in advance, for 5PM. I feel like our server was very new and this was frustrating. We are in one of the busiest times of the year, on one of the busiest days of the week (Friday) and a large party, why put someone new?? The first thing she did was spill my girlfriend’s soda on her iPhone 16…so that was neat. The entire white table cloth was saturated in ice and soda and she “went to get a towel”. I said, “uhhh, we have to move to a new table, this is going to need to be changed out for new linens”. She felt bad and I felt bad for her. We cleaned the phone off and moved to a new table. I am not sure if the server was just shook after this but the service was bad. It took us forever to get things. I didn’t know that they no longer bring the smaller meat plates and we never got the green/red pucks. So we just ate salad (prob for the best) and watched the Churrascos pass us by. After a while, I asked why we didn’t have the plates or pucks and they informed me they forgot about the pucks and don’t do the plates anymore…ok. I waited to see if they got the message I left on OpenTable about my son’s 21st bday and they did not. So I had to remind them and that sucks. I was hoping for the surprise “happy birthday” from the staff but nah. It was just like any other day. Just like any 21st, we had to order drinks. I asked for one of my absolute favorite drinks ever (coconut one with a coconut rim. I believe it has rum) and they said no, they only had one bartender that knew how to do it and he didn’t have the ingredients to make it…no joke. When my son ordered his, they didn’t ID him.

   The restaurant was not busy at all to begin with, but I had to request for meat. Servers were just walking around. The meat was flavorful, but I have to request for each and every single cut. An underrated experience for $69 price tax per person and tax

   Had to wait for more than 30 mins from reserved time to be seated. Poor service. Servers takes a long time to get beck with what is needed. Also long wait for food to be served. Servers and skips tables, passes by without checking tables. Meals takes longer this way which is why they are behind seating guest.

   The reservation was at 8:30. We did not get seat until 9:15. It was extremely crowded too so waiting at the bar was almost impossible. The drinks were mediocre. The meat was rather cold when served. The servers were pretty nice but seemed extremely busy they would forget to bring our orders. The only good thing was the cheesecake. I would not come back unfortunately.

   Third time dining here, with the latest on Thanksgiving. Even with all the craziness the staff remained professional, calm and attentive. Food was wonderful and cocktails were amazing.

   Way overbooked. Arrived at 6:25 for 6:30 reservation. More than 75+ people waiting. We waited for more over an hour to be seated. It was so cold that people had to come inside. I’m sure a few fire codes were broken. And then after waiting that long the food was less than mediocre. Compare to other Fogo franchises this was very disappointing.

    Great experience! We went on holiday so we had a short wait but food was delicious. Our waiter only stopped by table once and didn’t even bring us drinks. We did get plenty of meat served to us from everyone else.
