Situated in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago, Folklore offers patrons delicious Argentinean dishes. It is a family-owned restaurant that opened its doors in 2009. With a casual, yet romantic atmosphere, the restaurant has brick walls, candlelit tables and floor-to-ceiling windows. Folklore features a large choice of quality meat that's prepared on the grill. I haven’t been to Folklore since before Covid. Was there last night and the interior is very run down. Out server was impersonal. It was 25 degrees last night and they either had the air conditioning on or a window open because it was freezing. The steaks were mediocre. My guest ordered the Bifo Ancho which was just ok and I had the Churrasco which was very tough. Also the steak knives they had were the wrong type of knife and dull so it made cutting the steak difficult.

Food was great. Wine was reasonably priced and good. Only thing we didn't love was that it was very dark and hard to see our menus and food. We will definitely return.

Had a great dinner and the service was bery good and attentive. The only issue here was the size of the table, not only was it tiny and up against a wall but it also was not flat. It felt as if our dining items were going to slide off completely. The size of the table was that of a children’s school desk. Do bettor with your dining esthetic. It was uncomfortable to keep having to move dishes off of our table due to the size.

To keep it simple, my significant other and I are from out of town and decided to randomly go here for our valentines dinner. We made an amazing decision doing so. The food was fantastic, the service was quick, friendly and very helpful when we were unfamiliar with certain items. I wouldn’t hesitate going back there again.

It was awesome. The food was great and the ambiance was relaxing, romantic and pleasant with candle light at every table. The service was attentive and efficient. They didn't get anything wrong. The wait for the food was appropriate and with the wait. My water glass was never empty and the drinks were on point. I can't wait to take a date!!!
