Executive Head Chef, Gareth Mullins is known for artistically crafting all menu design and food preparation in the hotel’s restaurants and bars. With over 20 years’ experience cooking in five-star hotels in Ireland and Australia, Gareth leads a talented team. His passion for sourcing local Irish produce is found in each recipe he creates. This passion is reflected in Gareth’s Commissioner General of Eurotoques Ireland which consists of 200 of the country’s best-known chefs, producers and educators with an aim to protect our Irish culinary heritage and inspire future generations.

    Amuse bouche was a burrata with tomato emulsion. Scallops as starter and venison for main course were perfectly cooked and delicious.

    Overall the experience doesn’t reach five stars. It’s not the food, drink nor service that brings down the review score - it’s a handful of small details that are irritating- table that wobbles, table that is too small (in a mostly empty restaurant) to hold water glass, wine glass, small plate and appetizers for two people is nuts! A few hiccups at the beginning getting in sync with our server Michael - he lurked when we were in deep conversation and then wasn’t around for several minutes to even take a drink order. Once we got rolling the food and drink were superb, the wine superbly served by very attentive sommelier.

    First time visiting for us. Great experience. Service great, staff excellent, food fantastic. Full marks all round. The pre theatre menu was a little drab for me but my other half enjoyed it while I chose the a la carte menu. Clean plates all round but the stars of the show were the halibut and the lemon dessert. If you’re going there get it. You won’t be sorry. Prices aren’t out of line with everywhere else and we felt it was good value but that lemon dessert …. The chef is a magician. Great job.

    Beautiful restaurant, staff was friendly, however. Food needs work. Fillet steak was so dry and taste was not there. Chips where over cooked, the mash was nice but a little greasy the pudding hash was okay.

    It’s not actually open on Mondays - not sure why it takes bookings. Ended up calling on Monday morning to confirm and was told I actually didn’t have a booking like I thought I did. Disappointing because it was booked weeks in advance for a birthday and we had to find an alternative on the day of that could meet the same dietary requirements we chose this restaurant for

    The service was excellent. Very attentive from start to finish and nothing was too much trouble. The staff were very knowledgeable on what was gluten free and there was plenty of choice too. The king prawns were amazing.

    Visiting home from Africa to see my daughter in Dublin, this was a lovely location for a special occasion, pre-theatre dinner. Hosting hospitality was excellent, supported by a helpful sommelier. Nice interior location with a surprisingly warm ambiance. Overall, we will definitely return in the future. Any issues or questions were dealt with immediately and the helpful nature of the staff was superb. Look forward to our next visit...

    Had the pre theatre menu at 5:30. Very nice food and friendly service. However, a long wait between the starter and main course. So much so, that we passed on dessert, as we weren’t sure if we’d be on time for the theatre which started at 19:30.
