   Pleasant dining experience. Nice variety of food and drink. Fair prices. Helpful service. Very noisy.

   I had a friend visiting from Chicago and it was her birthday so I decided to treat her to a birthday dinner. She’s a foodie and enjoys fine dining so naturally I had to bring here here because I’ve eaten here several times over the years and the food is always amazing. I told the staff when I made the reservation that we would be celebrating a birthday. They were so kind. The hostess had a card for her upon seating and they also gave her a complimentary dessert at the end of the meal. We shared the calamari and we had the duck breast (me) and the 8 ounce wagyu bavette (her) as our mains. We cleaned our plates. We both did order dessert as we weren’t expecting the complimentary dessert; I had the panna cotta and she had an affogato. Those were delicious as well. We had the best time and I have a feeling that whenever she visits San Francisco again she’ll be back because I know I will be!

   Food is nothing spectacular but the space is truly special—some of the best outdoor seating in SF (rain or shine)

   Great, original food, friendly service. Brunch was lively, but not hectic and the staff was on top of it.

   The place is great. Food is on point. Surprisingly, the bathroom is like a sketch gas station bathroom. For the prices, you’d think they’d update that.

    My wife discovered Foreign Cinema on GOOGLE about a year ago and we have been pleased and happy to have found such an, intriguing, wonderful and pleasant places to eat, enjoy the facility and food and receive respect and assistance from the staff. FC consists of two restaurant areas located next to each other, one is the inside FC the other the outside FC. The movies which are shown nightly are at the outside area and is a really interesting way of having a yummy dinner at an outdoor facility while also being able to watch a movie. It is well lighted at night, most of the seating is looking onto the large screen to see the film, and food is served promptly and efficiently. The inside area looks out onto the outside area through large well cleaned windows and both areas are large enough to seat many people. The service from the staff is both prompt and helpful with the wait staff being considerate and answering all questions, no matter how silly or redundant they may be. We eat at FC at least twice a week and are always satisfied with the food, the service, the well kept interior and exterior areas and suggest a trial trip to the Foreign Cinema will be enough to bring you back on a regular basis. On a rating system where 5 is the best rating, the wife and I agree that 5+ is a conservative rating but hope it will encourage everyone to see if I’m being accurate or exaggerating but I’m sure you will enjoy the experience and adventure of eating a wonderful meal in a fascinating location with service helpful and professional.
