Drawing inspiration from the region’s history and natural surroundings, the 156-seat freestanding restaurant reflects elemental themes of wood, water, iron, and fire, reminiscent of the carriage houses and blacksmith shops that once dotted the landscape. The centerpiece of Forge & Vine is an eight-foot wood fired grill and open kitchen with counter seating where guests can enjoy dinner while interacting with the chef. Welcoming residents as well as visitors to the area, Forge & Vine offers a strong sense of place with a design sensibility that brings in the outside with floor to ceiling windows offering breathtaking pastoral views of Gibbett Hill. The restaurant boasts spacious and casual bar with service inside and out and features classic and comfortable cuisine sourced from the best produce, seafood, and meats that New England offers.

We had a wonderful experience and all of our drinks and food were excellent. The oysters are absolutely fantastic! Our waiter Cody was also top notch and a real pleasure to talk with.

Forge and Vine is a nice venue and their menu looked inspired. However, a few things were off about our experience. We had more than a 20 min wait despite having reservations. The food itself was good but for the price we were expecting great. We agreed we would give them one more try before a final decision of whether we’d ever go back.

The constant yelling in the kitchen was quite disruptive when we were trying to have a conversation in the dining room. Are they trying to mimic “The Bear”?! Just stop. The food was ok .. no one in our party raved about it. Some of the prices seemed excessive.

My husband and I were celebrating an anniversary with early dinner. We had a quiet table with a beautiful view of rolling hills and also got to see everyone else’s excitement as the establishment filled up for the evening. Our meal was absolutely delicious and the staff were friendly, polite and punctual. We will definitely be returning and we will recommend to others.

As always it is a fantastic place to dine, beautiful setting, modern design, clean and friendly. Only complaint is the poached pear dessert, the pear was not cooked enough!

Service was very good, food not up to their standards. Lisa’s meal was missing eggplant and had to ask for a steak knife. My meal was warm, not hot. Don’t like to eat cold salmon. Disappointing overall.
