Forty Dean Street is the pinnacle of affordable Italian cuisine in busy Soho. We are a small, family run restaurant dedicated to providing incredible food at incredible prices. Our set menu boasts a variety of sensational dishes built around fresh, seasonal produce and has customers coming back on a daily basis. Our à la carte menu is a favourite with our regulars, the media crowd and tourists alike.
Italian food has been served at Forty Dean Street for more than 17 years, so we like to think there’s nothing we haven’t mastered. So pop in for an Aperol Spritz!

    Our group had pizza, risotto and gnocchi all and all dishes were very tasty. There is a nice feel to the restaurant as it is intimate and small although maybe a bit busy for some people as the tables are extremely close together. However the service could be better and less abrupt when asking you to leave when your allotted time slot ends as the bill was brought before we had finished our coffee

    Great food, lovely atmosphere for a convivial meetup with old friends. It was the busy pre Christmas period and the staff managed the place excellently. I’d book again.

    The service was excellent and very attentive, the food choice was extensive and when it arrived tasted magnificent. I could not recommend this restaurant highly enough.

    I ordered Prawn tagliatelle with chilli it was delicious however couldn't 'taste any chilli on my dish i stole some from my friend's dish. otherwise all good

    The whole experience was underwhelming. We booked in advance, the restaurant called that day to confirm our booking and we were told to let them know if we were running late. Called after our show to say we might be five minutes late but made it there in time and were made to wait 15 minutes to be seated anyway. Then we were ignored for 20 minutes whilst tables that came in after us were served. When we finally got a staff members attention and ordered our drinks order arrived wrong. We then got our food which was fine but again we were ignored, no one checked our food was OK and we weren't offered black pepper or parmasan. We then ordered dessert. After another 20 minute wait we just asked for the bill and choose to not have the dessert which wasn't on our bill so clearly hadn't even been processed. Overall very very poor experience.

    Negatives - the wine was pricey and our table for six on the very small side. Positives - lovely ambience, excellent service and superb food.

    Although the ambience was good and our waiter was new but charming, there were a few issues which impaired our visit: Incorrect order meant overheated food, not replaced with fresh; unable to swap tables from doorway despite others being available - and generally slow service.
