Our waiter was top notch. The staff adjustments to our reservations due to parties being delayed and the food was excellent. I will continue to come back every time we are in town.

Good food but the space is a bit cramped. The portions could be a bit more generous. Who would have thought there’d be a huge rush at 6 PM on a Tuesday? So many parties arriving at the same time.

Wonderful lunch experience. The decor, service, wait time, food, and drinks were top-notch. The service size was quite generous as well. Hadn't been in a long time. So happy I came back. 5🌟

I would rate Founding Farmers lower than one star if I could. Apparently their reservations system failed utterly on March 2. The host stand was swarmed by 20 or 30 people when we arrived five minutes before our 12:15 reservation. It was chaos, and everyone was being told they were running about 15 minutes behind. Nonsense. The place was packed, and there was no way tables were going to open up that soon. We sat at the bar for five minutes, with dirty dishes piled in front of us. No one offered to clear our space, let alone ask us our order. We left, walking around the corner to Taberna del Alabardero, which was phenomenal.

Hi John. We sincerely apologize for the experience you had. It's clear that the situation did not meet the standards we strive for, and we deeply regret the inconvenience it caused. We will be reviewing the reservation system and service flow to avoid this in the future. Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we hope you'll consider giving us another chance in the future. -Tiffany

It’s PACKED for Sunday brunch! Thank goodness we had a reservation. The food was good, with BIG portions. Mmmm, those biscuits!!! Charming plateware and silverware fitting for the name. Still, way too crowded and noisy for my taste. Excellent, prompt, and polite service though!

I am always happy with Founding Farmers. Today I have two concerns; when I order tea and ask for honey sometimes I get it, sometimes I’m told you don’t have it, sometimes I’m offered a watery sweet syrup in lieu of, and sometimes it’s just given to me as if I don’t know what honey is. I like to manage my expectations but I can’t do that if I don’t get the correct information. Second, on more than one occasion I’ve spent my entire breakfast cold. I know that your restaurant is usually cool and I dress appropriately but today was ridiculous.
Founding Farmers DC: Foggy BottomResponded 4 days ago
Hi Janeen. We truly appreciate your continued support and are sorry for the inconsistencies you've experienced. We’ll definitely share your concerns with the team to ensure more consistent service regarding tea and honey, as well as address the temperature issue to make sure your next visit is more comfortable. Thank you for your feedback! -Kiara
