   Our food was terrible, and we had high expectations. The waffles arrived as hard as bricks and all seafood and chicken was so battered you could barely tell what they were. We asked the server to turn on the heaters, he promised to do so, and then never did. We sat cold the whole time. Just so disappointing.

   Food was good but the service was slow and did not seem well coordinated. Don’t know if it was our waiter or if the restaurant was just struggling to keep up.

   We love the brunch experience. All the food we had was excellent. However we did notice fewer vegetarian options from years in the past.

   We were seated about 30 minutes after our 7:30 reservation. We had our 7 year old with us and not sitting down until 8 wasn’t ideal. A large party was taking up half a section 4x4 tops and was clearly overstaying talking, opening birthday gifts and taking many photos (we observed for over 45 mins after desserts were finished) and the lady who I assume was the manager was working very hard to make things work, so credit where credit is due… we were seated in this section after the party finally cleared out and our server had all 3 parties which occupied all 4 of the 4 tops simultaneously. This created issues with timing and could be best explained as “just off”. Our appetizer came out promptly and was good. My wife’s pasta dish came out and tasted like a can of clam chowder with pasta and clams. My main entrée was hot but I suspect was the southern chicken instead of the spicy and my sides were cold but plate was hot and came out after the others. Clearly the chicken was not finished and the other dishes had been sitting under lamps. One of the other guest we were seated near was obnoxiously loud and overall it was just an unpleasant experience which we were looking quite forward to as it was my daughter’s first time visiting the city our family used to call home.

   This is a regular place that we visit anytime we are in the DC area. We love the variety of options on the brunch buffet. This time though, we were earlier than normal, which was great for having less of a crowd and I also think the table service of fried shrimp, pizza, cinnamon rolls (AMAZING) and sushi were able to happen more frequently. Overall, if you haven't tried this, do yourself a favor and book a reservation to go. You won't be disappointed.

   Our food was just okay but portions were small and nothing special, it wasn’t anything I would recommend to others nor go back.

   As usual, fantastic food, and service! My son is visiting from Hawaii and this is my go to spot. Highly recommend!
