We were so looking forward to our visit to Freddie’s Deli having read the great review by Jay Rayner in the Guardian. Overall it was a good experience. The restaurant itself is lovely and it was nice to see a mix of people from outside and also the care home coming in for lunch. The food was excellent, just as JR had described. But unfortunately, the service let it down. However, this was due to being low on staff and in the end I felt sorry for the waiter as the couple we were with were extremely demanding! So that being said, we will definitely return and give it another go.

It serves the retirement home above but I’d bet its residents will outlive this awful restaurant with pathetic servers

My friend suggested to try this place and I couldn’t be happier that I went. It was so good that I came back the next day. We Tried a large variety of tea lattes and food. It was absolutely delicious. Great ambiance and very nice service! But the food was wow. 🤩

The food was outstanding and service was great. Servers were friendly. Ambiance was lovely on a wkd. Can’t wait to come back

food was ok at best. Definitely overpriced for what it was and they had sold out of a lot of things including juice and avocado which is odd at 11am on a Sunday. Chai tea was the worst I’ve ever had in my life. Place has potential but it’s a long way from being any good.

There’s a decent restaurant in here, but they’re still finding their feet. The food is ok, but the service can be a bit chaotic. I felt sorry for the front of house staff who worked hard, but lacked leadership.

Absolute dreadful shitshow of a place. Kitchen on chaos, waiting staff running around with no idea of what they were doing. Water arrived with no glasses. First course with no cutlery No more food arrived within 30 minutes so we left Utter shambles
