   The appetizer was a bit greasy The main courses were excellent. The waiter was slow I don’t think he liked that we were using our opentable bonus award.

   We thought the food and service were excellent. We especially appreciated the quiet atmosphere where we could talk comfortably.

   They offer an open menu which lets you build your own meal, selecting whether you want a salad or not, which type of salad, what dressing, then which entrée, what type of sauce, and finally add any number of sides. All prices were clearly spelled out allowed us to completely control our meal to a budget. The only down side was the cocktails were slightly expensive and we did not know we ordered a premium liquor. The staff are very friendly and service was excellent.

   Should have had more than 1 waitress. Very busy with nearby tennis tournament! Waited 40 minutes for salad after soup!

   I thought food was pretty good. I think they were under staffed. They seemed to be scrambling. Also the restaurant was very hot and it was cool outside. Not sure if opening another door would have helped but everyone was pretty warm. Felt like diners were in the kitchen.

   What a disappointing experience from a previous Palm Desert favorite! Upon our arrival, we were told by the owner's wife that the hostess had left and things were a bit chaotic. We were pleased to be seated almost immediately. Unfortunately, not much more of the evening was positive. A busboy came with a bottle of water and flatware for the table. No napkins, no glasses. The owner, carrying napkins on one arm, brought four glasses, which he carried by inserting his thumb and fingers into the insides of each. One glass was filthy; we had to return it. He asked, "No napkins?" but buzzed off to another table without leaving them. We ordered wine, and when one bottle came, were told that the other selection was no longer available. There was just barely enough for a second glass, but my husband took it, even though it was not a full pour. We then placed our order: one baguette, two French onion soups, one moules, three steak frites. When asked about how we wanted our steak cooked, she asked, "Do you want it really bloody or just pink inside?" Gross, and less than professional. The baguette was very good--possibly more so as we'd waited about 30 minutes for any food delivery after ordering. The French onion soup was outstanding. The mussels were good, not great, and the steaks were all judged to be "just okay," as were the frites. Our friends spend four months each year in the desert; we spend six weeks. We were looking forward to dinner at the French Rotisserie Cafe. We don't expect to return.

   Food was very good, the service was excellent. The room kept getting louder as more people were seated. Will go back again!

   Very good dinner and an excellent, attentive server. Highly recommend the French onion soup and for desert, the profiteroles.

   Staff was overwhelmed with what seemed like a busy but not unmanageable evening. Food came without silverware for which we had to wait another 15 minutes. Drinks came halfway through dinner. The patio heater we were told was going to be fired up never happened. And the owners/managers got upset with their staff in front of the guests. Food was ok but not great.
