Set on the Delaware River waterfront and located inside a historical riverfront pumping station, Fringe Bar is Philadelphia’s newest experiential, active fun space. As the latest addition to the FringeArts campus hub, the newly renovated bar and restaurant provide a highly versatile venue for unforgettable experiences year round. Dine indoors and enjoy our soulful pub cuisine featuring snacks and bites alongside an array of eclectic and funky beverage options enhanced by custom entertainment ranging from jazz ensembles, to funk bands, to cabaret, and more. Dining experiences are further accentuated by the soaring views of the Delaware River and Benjamin Franklin Bridge in our industrial-chic space directly adjacent to FringeArts’ renowned state-of-the-art 220 seat theater. Outdoors is Haas Biergarten, which serves as a vibrant, plant filled space in the warmer months and an intimate, cozy space in the cooler months.

Not sure why this place has 4 stars. Food and service were subpar. Vegetables were intended to be grilled but was burnt, mashed potatoes are instant and taste like paste and the server seemed to not know what was being offered at the establishment. There is little to no seasoning/taste on anything and drinks are overpriced. The venue is decent but other than that I will not be returning.

Amazing gluten free options. We came for brunch and fell in love with every menu item. We will be back!

Cool restaurant to grab drinks and hang with friends. Great atmosphere. The food was not impressive and below average. Bland lemon pepper wings and not tasty entrees.

It was alright. It was restaurant week but that is no excuse for the so so experience.

This waiter is high on some type of drugs white man, thin built with dark brown hair brushed to one side, about 5’10. Service was terrible not only to us but the whole section we were in. He came back to the table after talking our order he forgot it. He was scattered and twitchy. HE JUST GAVE ME THE WRONG TABLES CREDIT CARD BACK. Terrible I cannot believe. First time I been here and I’ll never be back. WAITER NAME WAS GEORGE.

The food was great but the service during happy hour was really slow. I will go back because the happy hour food was really that good and worth the wait.

Perfect brunch service. Drinks were on time and I was able to substitute some items to avoid gluten. Service was timely and friendly. A great neighborhood place that I’m sure is even better in summer when their patio is open.

There were several gluten free options, safe for celiacs! Had a wonderful brunch and were well cared for by our server, Jimmy.

My husband and I had dinner here before going to a performance at Fringe Theater. Our waiter gave a few suggestions, and we decided to try the catfish. It was excellent! I ordered a drink named the Lost Earhart and it was also delicious. I would absolutely recommend this restaurant whether going to the theater or just out for dinner. Great atmosphere, excellent staff, an overall welcoming environment. We really enjoyed our experience at the Fringe Bar. Thanks!
