We had made a booking for an outside table to enjoy the lovely Bay Breezes, unfortunately it was hot, humid and breeze less day. The staff noticed that my two elderly guests were a bit uncomfortable and quickly arranged a table inside for us, despite the fact that they were fully booked. Wait staff were very attentive and efficient.

The inside table we were placed at was small for a group of 4, and was in a dead spot for the AC/any air flow so within minutes of sitting down we were already starting to get very warm and sweaty on a 30C day. We ordered meals and drinks via the table code which was fine. Drinks came out quite quickly but 1 drink was incorrect and when mentioned the staff member seemed annoyed at having to remedy that. She then walked away with all the drinks before coming back and giving out the other two, with the third drink being delivered by another staff member a couple of minutes later. The entree garlic and rosemary bread came out and was nice enough. The edges were rock hard on some slices. The main meals came out not too long after and the winner in regards to flavour at the table was the Beef and Bacon Pie, although the broccollini wasn't cooked enough. The chicken parmi was rather plain and uninspired, and the sirloin steak (medium) was unevenly cooked. The garden salad accompanying them wasn't enjoyable. The kids meal was fine. Once we had eaten we left to go to a cooler area near the bar and when I mentioned to the greeter that it wasn't a nice area for a table because of the heat, and it made for an unpleasant time I got a shrug of the shoulders with "sorry about that" and they left. Disappointing considering we were there to celebrate a birthday. We left to go elsewhere for dessert.

Saturday night, spirit of the moment dinner at the pub idea, sitting outside on the footpath, nice sea breeze, enjoying some unpretentious but good value, quality food and a nice drink, overlooking the bay as darkness falls: perfect! Always worth a visit!

Delicious meals, excellent service, great views of Moreton Bay & Redcliffe from front dining room & footpath tables. Friendly efficient staff. How lucky are we to have a great local facility like this.

I have been having your prawns for years and they have never disappointed. I have tried other venues but nothing compared till today they didn’t taste fresh and for the first time I didn’t finish my beautiful bread roll.

Food was very nice, but over priced for what it was. Tables are also very close together, so be prepared to whisper unless you want the next table to hear your entire conversation
