Galyons Royal Docks is set in the stunning grade II listed Gallions Hotel.
Wine and dine or sip cocktails in this beautiful building steeped in history, with many ghost stories and original features dating back to 1881. With its dockside location and sun-soaked terrace it’s the perfect setting to enjoy a meal with friends and family, or a romantic dinner for 2 in our candle-lit Captains room.
Offering exceptional seasonal dishes, using quality ingredients, we feature some gastro pub classics in our menu, with flare & twists showcased in our Captains specials. Famous for our Sunday roasts, we’ve recently added our Curry & Cocktails every Monday, Taco Tuesdays, with Bettelli's Pizzaria Napolitana joining us all day every Wednesday & our Steak & Wine night every Thursday, These culinary delights run alongside our a la cart menu. Our Smoke & BBQ is available every Friday & Saturday throughout the summer (weather permitting)

    Came to Galyons after my doctorate graduation with my partner and family who had flown over from Ireland. There were 7 of us and the booking had been made for at least a month. The menu was different than on the website. They didn’t have any chicken or fish options left from the menu when we arrived, saying they’d had a busy day. We sat down at 7:30 but didn’t receive main courses until 8:45, at which time we were told that one of the mains had been dropped on the floor. One of the staff was very good, and apologised and replaced the meal for free (however this didn’t arrive until after 9pm and they couldn’t replace the ordered pie as it had been the last one). A different member of staff was quite rude, and did not apologise once for the wait, the dropped food or the reduced menu. The food was nice, but some of it was cold by the time it came out and eating at different times was not very nice. I would definitely not return after this experience, which put a dampener on the end of a special day for me.

    terrible experience, forgot our booking and ruined our christmas, got put on a table that lacked any sort of decoration and was next to the toilets. the service was terrible. we left before our food came out

    Great food and service. We were there for Sunday Christmas roast. Portions very generous, food excellent and great, friendly service.
