Farm-to-table, scratch-made specialties, along with Gard Vintners' estate wines and regional craft beer, makes this truly a unique dining experience in the heart of the Royal Slope, one of Washington's newest AVAs. Enjoy a casual lunch or dinner on the patio, or take your time with a tasting flight and charcuterie board. Guest suites are located upstairs for those who want to dine and stay - these can be booked via AirBNB or inn@gardpublichouse.com

Gard Vintners has been crafting estate wines from our vineyards on the Royal Slope since 2006. We have three tasting rooms across the state (Woodinville, Ellensburg, Walla Walla) along with our first full-service restaurant Gard Public House right here in our hometown. Our vineyards are just a few miles away and can been seen from the roadway as travelers go east from Royal City.

Loved the whole meal and had been looking forward to the experience for a long time (visiting from Los Angeles). The pretzels, beet salad, pork chop, and fish & chips were all great. The service was friendly, attentive, and respectful of space. The ambiance was even better when the music was on. Can’t wait to go back!

The food is off the charts amazing! The steak had a great sear on it while still being medium rare inside. We had the cream of poblano soup and it was to die for! I would go back just for the soup alone. My friend loved it so much he ordered two qts to-go so that his family could taste it!

The food was good, but it was very loud in there. We were practically shouting so the waitress could hear us. When we asked for coffee to have with dessert , the waitress said “umm, I’ll have to go get the coffee pot and it will take too long. We only bring it out for brunch.” They didn’t have a big variety of food items and only one dessert. What they had will probably not bring us back for a while.

Always the best experience! Whenever we have people visit from out of town we bring them Gard Public House! We live in Moses Lake and driving to Royal City for the best meal in grant county will always be worth it!

We had a fantastic server who really made the night fun! Dinner was delicious and we loved the private label wine! We can’t wait to go back!

This is such a wonderful establishment. The food, drinks, service, and atmosphere could not have been better. The Gard Public House is literally an oasis in the desert and, hands down, the single best meal at a restaurant within 45 minutes of my vacation house…in last 18 years. We will be back. Oh, and the staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and truly share the vision of the establishment owner.
