    Staff were over familiar. Calling me young man by an 18 year old was ridiculous. Sir or madam is the proper and respectful way to address clients. The bread and olives didn’t come very quickly and they forgot to bring half of it.  A wine was suggested with no questions around likes or dislikes. Beetroot Panacotta had no flavour.

    A great family Sunday Lunch. Pre lunch drinks and post-lunch perambulation completed a perfect afternoon.

    Food exceptional but service poor. Kept having to ask how long for our drinks how long for mains.Waited over half hour for mains. Waitress didn't not come over to ask if we wanted more drinks,had to ask how long until.our mains but food exceptional once received. Waited 10 minutes to be seated

    Couldn’t fault the food or service , food was amazing, only fault was its very pricey, but it’s our honeymoon break so we wanted to treat ourselves

    A disaster from start to finish. Service odd, food sub par and the way it was dealt with at the time abysmal . Staff are short on the ground, and they aren’t trained. The menu is ok but items missing. The food isn’t cooked well for the hotel price point. And when mistakes are made the response is borderline embarrassing. The hotel is lovely but we would not return based on the restaurant. Spend your money elsewhere.

    We had a deal staying at the hotel that included a 3 course meal, however, unless you ordered the risotto, what came as your main could not reasonably be classed as a 'meal' since it came with no accompaniments - these had to be purchased at approx £6 per dish, for potatoes/chips and/or veg. My friend ordered potatoes and it was a generous portion, but still, we both felt that it was something that should have been included, even in some small way, to legitimately call that course a meal. That aside, the food was all delicious and beautifully presented.

    We were kept waiting for 10 minutes before being seated even though we had booked. We then had to flag down a server to order drinks. Our food arrived an hour later. My duck was tasteless, cold and tough as if it had been frozen. The scallops came with breadcrumbs on them (frozen?) which was not explained on the menu. We were there for a 60th birthday celebration and unfortunately were not made to feel special in any way. The manager was very kind and understood our concerns and my friend was given a dessert for her birthday. The prices do not match the quality of the food . £18 for a bit of aubergine (vegetarian option). Vastly overpriced and extremely underwhelming. Do not recommend for a special occasion.
