Gargiulo's is a Coney Island institution. The food is excellent, as is the service. With Chef Matthew Cutolo, we're never disappointed. Classic Italian cuisine, with a modern twist. Do yourself a favor, take a walk on the Boardwalk, and end up at Gargiulo's. You'll not be disappointed.

Attentive, old world service (even by young waiters) and the food is consistently very good/excellent. A superb Limoncello sorbet served in a beautiful, hollowed out lemon was the perfect dessert.

I Gargiulo's visited and like it. I enjoyed the drinks and atmosphere food was ok. However I couldnt help but feel like my service experience was different from those around me. While others tables received frequent check ins and warm interactions, my table seemed to be overlooked. I hope this was just an off night and that all guests are treated with the same attentiveness in the future.

We went for lunch. The place is great. Food and service were very good. Prices were good also.They have a very large menu…Italian and various fish entrees with many appetizers to choose from. They have valet parking right next to the restaurant. While the place is upscale the prices are reasonable. Since the place is upscale I would dress accordingly. It’s a great restaurant with a wonderful ambiance, delicious food and first class service. We definitely will be going back.

The food was good, but the bartender had zero idea how to make martinis. The 2 that were ordered in my party were absolutely not a cosmopolitan nor a martini. The wines were fine. The garden salad was the best appetizer. The Caesar salad was good. The zucchini sticks were fair. The rice balls were very good. The filet of sole was very good. The broccoli was too raw, I had asked for it soft and when I questioned it, the waiter was argumentative. The others in my party had chicken. Some liked it, some found it dry. Desserts were good. Overall the meal was fair.

I I know this restaurant. I’ve been going to it often on for the better part of 50 years. I expected more. The food was really not good. We complained about the main dish and they actually didn’t charge us for it at the end. I always love their cannoli. You know take the guns leave the cannoli! Well, the cannoli wasn’t good. The custard was thick and gooey. I don’t know what happened to their kitchen, but this really wasn’t what I remember from this old Coney Island restaurant.
