I had booked for a birthday dinner for my partner and they rang me about 3 hours before i was to arrive to change the dinner to 9pm as they were very busy with bookings. When we arrived there was no token to make up for the inconvenience. The food was ok but very scarce. The sort of portion sizes you would expect a 9 year old to eat. We were not advised at time of ordering that there was nothing served with the mains as in vegetables. We got our mains and about 10 minutes later they arrived very small portion of chips and gratin potatoe which clearlybthey had forgotten. While the food quality was reasonably good it was a very poor experience for the money 2 courses each and 1 glass of wine (as my partner had brought a drink from the bar) for 120euro 60 euro a head was not extortionate but seemed so for how poor the overall experience was. Will not be recommending or returning. Ps i rarely give a bad review as i come from the school of thought .. if you dont have something good to say say nothing but having known this hotel for years its such a pity to see an icon fall to this level.

Very disappointing experience. Booked table well in advance for Feb 14th. Staff were excellent, but literally run off their feet, 4 serving for a packed restaurant. Order taken after 45 minutes waiting, but after an hour we left because none of the tables around us had been served yet & we were annoyed & hungry at that stage. People were checking their watches, getting up looking for Staff, food sent back. Overall disappointing! Each table was given a complimentary bottle of wine on arrival which was a nice touch but not much good when you're hungry. Could not fault any of the Staff, who were friendly & courteous in the face of a very difficult evening.

We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30 the time of our reservation. We were seated at 7:55, spent 25 minutes watching the staff walk by and ignore us. We had our starters which were quite nice, however our mains then took 1 hour to come. We then waited another 1:30 for our dessert which never came, we ended up leaving without our desserts as it took so long for desserts to come out. I advise not going anywhere near this restaurant, service was brutal and the restaurant was terribly ran.

Very slow service. 3 hours there and hadn't received dessert. Others who arrived after us had eaten and gone. We decided to leave and others still waiting for their dessert.

Bad service, poor menu choices, overpriced, starters terrible. Loud hen party there, couldn't hear ourselves talking.

Love eating here at this time of year but unfortunately very disappointing this time. Starter was pre- prepared and bland. Had featherblade beef for main which was OK but sides were sparse and very dried out. Dessert seemed bought in. There was no festive atmosphere whatsoever. Have celebrated many occasions and come here many rimes but will be hard to go back after this

Disappointing meal compared to last year Santy lunch experience ... adults were given one serving of vegetables between 3 people ...small kids portion of pasta for my son and my daughter was given frozen fish fingers instead of fish and chips description on menu..some plates had side of beans, we didn't even get this...we weren't asked at any stage if meal was OK even as was paying for meal...poor customer service!! We had hopeď this Santy experience would be a Christmas tradition but doubt will be returning again.... Santy himself was the only good thing about the experience...

Booked santa experience for 2. No christmas ambience, not even a cracker on the table. Waiting a while to be served only to be giving wrong order Portions small, salmon had a greasy texture and not much flavour. Tiny piece of cheese cake with sponge texture not the usual crumble biscuit. Overall didn't enjoy and very disappointed. Would not recomend

Not as good as we expected. Service was amateurish. Wrong starter offered. Long wait for non-existent beer (no - they don’t serve Hophouse 13). Garlic butter brought when most of the steak had been eaten. And the food was warm, not hot. Disappointed.

Super restaurant but the problem is in the plates It’s really good but please for the price you can put a little bit more For exemple the duck is for me the best plate to take The lamb on the contrary for the price you have nothing in the plate ! The welcome and the waitress are really kind ! Then I recommend the restaurant but not for all the plates a la carte
