   The peanut hummus, Brussels and fried shrimp, lamb chops are really good. Ladaijia was fantastic

   We have been meaning to try this place for a while. Glad we did. Drinks were top notch, VQ the bartender and Megan our server were excellent with their suggestions. The charcuterie board was a delicious sampling of local meats, cheeses and veggies. Relaxing on one of the comfortable couches was the perfect way to start our evening.

   Ms. Ladaijia was an amazing server. She knew the menu well enough to recommend these amazing shrimp!!!!! Thanks for having us for a late lunch!

   Really not a place for dinner - instead, a nice hotel bar with premium bar food (charcuterie, sliders, et.) Service was slow.

   Service was very slow.., been there twice now and only ever 1 cook in the kitchen… food is never fast and at times not hot. They have a weird practice where 5 of us split tab equally to treat a friend for her birthday yet, after we did that, one of the 5 of us saw 285 charge on card… was told by manager charge would not go through…, they put that hold on first card which is weird since another of the five provided a card at the beginning. Nice cocktails and atmosphere however food wait time and issues with billing make me rate this lowered on my return list.

   Left hungry. No food after more than an hour of waiting when it wasn't busy. Asked about food after 45 minutes, waitress said they would have the manager check on it. After another 20 minutes manager drops food at a table that had just sat down and ordered. I raised the issue, and manager says they must have lost the ticket. Not a good anniversary experience.

   This experience was wonderful. The food was excellent. The wine was outstanding. Shakira was very attentive to our orders and was very pleasant. This was a great experience, a wonderful Christmas anniversary. We will definitely return.

   I recently visited Gather and Hem on Christmas Day and had a mixed experience. The ambiance was lovely, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The food was hit-or-miss. Unfortunately, they didn’t have any lamb chops, the shrimp was overfried, which was a disappointment. On the other hand, the Brussels sprouts and sliders were delicious and cooked to perfection. My server, Shakira, was pleasant and attentive, providing great service throughout our meal. Overall, I'd give Gather and Hem 3 out of 5 stars. With a bit more attention to detail in the kitchen, this place could truly shine.

    We had booked a table for dinner and drinks before a show across the street. We arrived and it was unclear where the host stand was. Further, several employees didn't acknowledge us at all, and continued setting up for what seemed like a large party. We were finally informed that, while there were several empty tables, there were no tables available to accommodate our reservation (2 people). We were offered seats in the lounge in arm chairs with a low coffee table (difficult to eat a meal or have a conversation). We ordered drinks which took 10+ minutes to arrive in a restaurant that was only half occupied. We were eventually offered to move to a table, like we'd reserved. We ordered a total of 4 plates and 4 drinks for 2 of us. The drinks were decent and the food was ok, but took a while to arrive, which was disappointing when we'd mentioned we had a show to catch. The restaurant offers a 30% discount if you're dining before or after a show, but our server knew nothing about it. I showed her on my phone. She said she'd have to ask her manager and eventually brought back a discounted bill. It's unclear if it was a mistake, but we were given a discount of only ~18%. This would have been easy to miss if we weren't paying attention. When we brought this to the server's attention, no apology was offered. It was eventually fixed, but with only 6 minutes for us to rush across the street for our show. The manager never checked on us after we initially spoke to her about our table, even when she had to correct our bill. She stayed behind the bar, seeming to prep bar items (there were few patrons at the bar at that point), and looking unapproachable. Our total bill, after the appropriate discount, was over $130. While the location is convenient if attending a performance, we'll spend our time and money on a better value and better service elsewhere in the future.
