This Mother’s Day, treat your Mum to an unforgettable dining experience at Gaucho. Tuck into a traditional Sunday Roast with an Argentine twist, or dine from our delicious à la carte menu, accompanied by an extensive selection of wines from Argentina and beyond.

Just a short stroll from Waverley Station and steps from St. Andrew Square, Gaucho Edinburgh is our first restaurant in Scotland, bringing the finest free-range, grass-fed Aberdeen Angus beef from Argentina to the heart of the city.

We proudly celebrate Scottish produce, working with Campbell’s Meats, the world-renowned IJ Mellis cheesemonger and Mark Murphy fruit and vegetables. Of course, we have a cocktail using Irn Bru and are pleased to serve Stewart’s Craft Lager, brewed out of Loanhead.

Edinburgh’s annual month-long celebration of all things restaurants returns for its fourth innings this March. We’re excited to be taking part, and offering up an exclusive menu of signature Gaucho dishes for just £25 for 3-courses. Mix and match your favourites, from our signature Beef Empanada with a classic salsa golf, to the 24-hour marinated rump steak in lashings of olive oil, parsley, and garlic. For the sweet-toothed among us, don’t leave without trying the Salted Dulce de Leche cheesecake, accompanied by a sweet ‘n sour combination of Chantilly cream and confit cherries.

Join us this Mother's Day for our legendary Sunday Roast. Our roast Picaña of beef is served with roast potatoes and Yorkshire puddings, accompanied by seasonal vegetables, and unlimited red wine gravy for £27 per person. Bottomless Sunday Roast Select our bottomless roast, choosing from our roast Picaña or cuadril of beef, or roast leg of lamb, accompanied by the finest Yorkshire puddings, unlimited seasonal vegetables and red wine gravy for £37 per person. Looking for something extra special? Why not upgrade to our 200g chateaubriand for £41 per person. The ultimate Sunday treat. A classic whole Gaucho fillet steak, grilled and roasted with love to share, served with array of sides and, of course, limitless gravy to bring the curtain down on Sunday with aplomb. *Please note we cannot guarantee roasts beyond 5pm. *Also available - traditional Sunday Roast £15pp for children and our Vegan Sunday Roast for £27pp.

As we often find when just two of us dining the tables are generally too close together meaning when the waiting staff are tending to the table next to us there is limited room for them or us to move. Our table was also next to a storage area which meant the waiting staff were constantly walking to and fro past our table. The food was very good, although the side dish of broccoli lacked lustre for £6! Wine was expensive. Steak was great! Our waitress was very attentive Our meal came to £215 which overall I think is expensive given that it wasn’t a 5 star experience

Excellent and attentive service, and they brought my partner a desert as it was his birthday. Food was outstanding and they make an excellent mojito! It’s on the pricier end but it was a special occasion and can’t fault the service.

The atmosphere and layout of the restaurant was lovely. Our waiter Craig was very attentive and polite. The main dishes came on their own and the sides were all at a charge, which I thought could have been included in the price. The wines and drinks were overpriced but overall a great restaurant and a lovely touch with the free glass of prosecco each at the end of our meal to celebrate our anniversary.

Excellent service and ambience. Food was cooked perfectly. Wine list is daunting and overpriced. Overall would definitely recommend.
