I had the happy hour special, and my fellow guests split hush puppies and the truffle mac and cheese. L'americaine was stellar, and the mac and cheese was a must try. The rest was great, but those were the standouts to me.

This is without question the best quality burger establishment in Ottawa (and arguably, Canada). The burgers and fries are prepared with great skill. Their wine list and beer offerings are enlightened, and feature natural vin, and micro brews. Service here is friendly yet still professional a la Gitanes. The ambience is delightfully diner’esque/retro, yet modern, minimal. Floor to ceiling glass walls and counter seating at the front offered sweeping views of busy Elgin Street: this made for excellent people watching experience during my most recent meal. To conclude, this is a serious burger joint, where gastronomy, quality, and details matters. Even the graphic design is unique and expertly done. I love Gburger!
