Gene and Georgetti is Chicago's original steakhouse since 1941. This family-owned establishment housed in Chicago's third oldest building serves the finest prime-aged steaks and chops, pastas, & signature dishes invented here such as The Garbage Salad and Chicken alla Joe. Our curated wine list originates from our roots in Lucca, Tuscany, Italy - we concentrate on Italian varietals that complement our classic Italian steakhouse menu.

Securely processed credit card info is required to secure a reservation. No-shows or cancellations within 48 hrs will be charged $25 pp.
As a reminder we do have a 15 minute grace period to honor your reservation, past that time your reservation will be forfeit.

Valet parking after 3pm is $15 cash.

Our dress code is Smart Business/Cocktail Chic - you never know who you might see at G & G!

    Food and service are exceptional. This is one of our favorite places and I also think the prices are pretty reasonable. Their Baked Clams are the best I have had anywhere

    Our dinner experience was perfect in every way. The food was beautifully cooked and seasoned. The salads were served on chilled plates. The presentations were beautiful and the portions so generous. Service was attentive and kind and gracious. The host—Angelo—is the consummate professional who not only seats everyone but makes sure that everyone is happy with their meals—checking in on every table. The bus boys don’t allow the guests to go without water for more than a minute! Overall the best dining experience ever.

    We got the prosciutto and buratta for an appetizer and it was amazing! Our cocktails were excellent and the main courses were also wonderful. Wait staff was attentive and helpful. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary!

    Classic Italian steakhouse experience executed flawlessly. Food and service was superb. Look no further for top end quality, albeit without the “spectacle” that comparable places offer.

    We reserved a table for two with a note for a special, cozy table. We had the best table for two, located on the upstairs level. Our server was skilled and courteous as was the host. The filet and porterhouse were cooked to perfection. The entire experience was 5+ stars.
