We are thrilled to announce the geodesic domes at Hackneys on Harms are open and ready for your perfect holiday gathering. There is a $10 fee to dine in the domes outside. No reservations for indoor seating.

Hackney's is a classic American restaurant that serves authentic American food like burgers and fries, and has been a popular spot in Chicago since the Prohibition Era. Of all the amazing dishes here, one of the most popular is the Hackney Burger. This is a half-pound grilled burger served on two slices of rye bread, and is one of the reasons Hackney's has become so famous. Another delicious dish that stands out from the crowd includes Hackney's Original French Fried Onions. The french fried onions have placed in the top three onions rings in the country consistently, despite not even being rings! i am questioning the ten dollar cover fee for the bubbles. since last year it was $5.00.With a large group it's doable. but a smaller group i would probably go to Harms on Lake.. i have been going to the Domes since the beginning and over time they have gotten more elaborate and i can see that it tales upkeep , heaters,blankets and maintenance. I think restaurants who use the domes have to realize it takes a certain customer to want to eat outside with heaters.and it's a bonus for Harms Hackneys as that has opened up a whole extra seating almost a whole another restaurant in the winter months. I hope going forward that you do not keep increasing the dome"cover" charges as the present $10.00 is about at my limit..and then would switch either to Hackneys on Lake or eat inside. ..Also i did not see this charge listed on OPEN TABLE when i made the reservation .perhaps it was there but again, i did not see it and was expecting the $5.00 charge from last year..thanks.tj

Enjoyed family birthday luncheon under the geodesic dome. Very comfortable environment. Waitress was pleasant. Food was excellent for all family members. No complaints.

Geodesic Dome was decorated nicely and temperature was nice on this cold day. Wait staff was friendly and service was great. Corn beef and cabbage was delicious along with the Hackney burgers that were ordered. Let’s not forget the block of onions which were done to perfection. ☘️

We love sitting in the domes with friends. The staff is warm and attentive. The food is good but mainly we come from the ambiance.

What I think is fantastic is the dome seating outside, cozy and warm, decorated with care. I had a burger and fries. It was satisfying. Love the half price bottles of wine on Tuesdays, which I shared with a friend. The service was attentive and friendly. Fun dinner with a good friend!

Great service- food was good as always and we love the Geodesic domes! They provide blankets and heaters inside the dome and it was very cozy!!

Love those domes. Warm and toasty and still joyously decorated for Valentine's Day. Good food and an excellent server. PLUS I had a coupon for a free entree which I shared with my 2 companions. Thanks for a nice lunch!
