Food was decently good. We went on Valentine’s day and they were swamped. They didn’t take our order until an hour after we were seated. The waiter was extremely rude and when we hadn’t gotten our entree TWO hours after being seated, told us “I’m not the cook. What do you want me to do?”

The food was very good. The only issue is that it took nearly an hour to get appetizers and almost the same for the main courses. It was very crowded so we understood. When we asked for the check one waiter apologized but that was the first time anyone mentioned anything.

My wife and visited restaurant for the first time on Valentine's Day. I made the reservation through OpenTable and requested a table for 2 by the fireplace. We were greeted by the host who acknowledged my request and promptly sat us at the perfect table. So far so good. Unfortunately, the restaurant was heavily booked, and our service suffered. We started with the seafood tower for two. It took close to an hour for it to arrive. Cocktail forks/cracker for lobster were missing. Shrimp cocktail was overcooked but the rest was done perfectly. It took a long time and a request from us, after we were finished, for the dishes to be cleared. We are now more than an hour into our reservation. Our entree (Porterhouse for 2) and sides didn't arrive for another 30 minutes. The steak was cooked to a nice medium rare and went well with the sides we ordered. There was another long wait and request to clear our dishes. After carefully calculating potential time impact, we decided to skip dessert. By the time the check came, we were closing in on three hours. While there were some things to like about George, our overall first impression was not great. Given other steakhouses in the area, not sure if we'll be back.

The worst restaurant experience ever! I have never walked out or refused to pay and I did both here! We waited almost an hour to get a refill on our initial drinks, was never brought any bread, almost an hour and a half to get our soup appetizers which were cold, then I complained to the owner and she had her staff bring us bread which was cold and hard, and when we finally received our main entrees almost 2 hours after being seated my chicken was cold and not thoroughly cooked! We left at that point hungry and paying only for our first drinks and soups. The owner apologized and blamed her wait staff even after she said she brought in more employees for the night, but I blame the kitchen too for serving cold meals and uncooked food. I told her I was not paying for the meals and she didn’t even offer to comp our soup and drinks! $50 for a miserable time and crappy food on Valentines Day!!! The owner said she hoped we would come back which was an absolute joke after the fiasco and we weren’t the only ones! 2 other couples next to us had the same issues and complaints!

The restaurant is beautiful and the ambiance is very nice. Staff are friendly but service was slow. Server had a hard time understanding our water order, he did not make it clear that still water was different than tap water, which was free. We were surprised to be charged for water. Portions were very small and the steaks weren't seasoned much so there wasn't a lot of flavor. The mashed potatoes and mushrooms were delicious, well seasoned and good sized portions. No drink menu, you had to ask for what you want to see if they had it. Desserts were standard. For the price range of the menu, I expected a lot more from George Seafood and Steakhouse.

We went to George on Valentine's Day. It was not crowded -- it was an early dinner because we had show tickets. The dining area filled before we left. The restaurant is cozy on a cold night, and there was a lovely fireplace in the main room. It's not one of those high-ceiling noisy places -- it's really like one's own dining room where there is quiet conversation. Staff was especially attentive and professional. We started with a plate of fresh oysters. The specials were interesting, and it was hard to choose. We both had sole cooked in different ways. Delicious! The fresh broccoli spears were perfectly al dente. The dessert menu was large and tempting, but I had lemon sorbet since most restaurants do not offer it. I also had a lovely Sangiovese wine. The bar area was a bit more casual in atmosphere, but still a great "date night" destination. Plenty of parking.

Went here last night for a date with my girlfriend, atmosphere was great good music playing, service was very good not too on top of you but attentive and helpful when you needed it. Food came out quickly and was delicious I had the ravioli and my girlfriend had the rigatoni they were both great. Pretty fancy not too much but a nice classy authentic Italian restaurant. About a 100-150$ night for two. Definitely would recommend.
