I was there to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday and we definitely enjoyed ourselves. For dinner we got the Carrara 640 Wagyu Tomahawk w/ bearnaise, Malfaldine pasta, French potato puree, and Charred Asparagus. For drinks we had an Espresso Martini and Durango Old Fashioned. The portion sizes for the sides I think could’ve been better (mostly the potatoes) but the steak tasted amazing and I also really liked the pasta. My espresso martini was okay, I’ve had better, honestly it lacked depth, all you tasted was espresso. The Old Fashioned comes with table side service. Our server Moises was amazing. Food: 8.5/10 Service: 9/10 Drinks: 7/10

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at Gibsons Italia, and it was an unforgettable experience. From the moment we walked in, the staff made us feel incredibly special. The attention to detail in both the service and ambiance was outstanding. Our server was attentive, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. The food was phenomenal—each dish was beautifully presented and packed with flavor. To top it all off, they surprised us with a special dessert for our anniversary, making the night even more memorable. The combination of breathtaking views, exceptional food, and impeccable service made this celebration truly magical. Thank you, Gibsons Italia, for making our anniversary so extraordinary. We celebrated our 25th anniversary at Gibson Italia, and the experience exceeded all expectations. From the warm welcome to the impeccable service, every detail was perfect. The food was outstanding—both the pasta and steak were flavorful and beautifully presented. The dessert was also absolutely delicious, the perfect ending to a wonderful meal. Our server, Destiny, deserves a special mention. Her service was timely, friendly, and every recommendation she made was spot on. Her name couldn’t have been more fitting, as it truly felt like it was meant to be that she took care of every detail of our experience. Our table had a breathtaking view of the Chicago River and skyline, the perfect backdrop for such a significant celebration. A heartfelt thank you to the entire Gibson Italia team for going above and beyond to make our evening extraordinary. You turned a milestone anniversary into a memory we will cherish forever. We can’t wait to return!

Generally, I’ve been very happy with Gibson‘s on four or five prior outings. But this was definitely subpar. The lobster issue and octopus appetizers were excellent. Them… I ordered lamb chops medium rare. They came uncooked blood red in the middle, very rare, and the large garlic clove was not cooked enough-i.e. each clove was hard. They brought it back and re-cooked the lamb chops to medium, which is not medium rare, but I accepted it rather and asked them to start from scratch, which would have delay led the whole meal, inconvenience led the other diner. They offer a free dessert, but I don’t think that’s an excuse or recompense for undercooked then overcooked lamb chops.

2nd time visiting this restaurant. We travel a lot and have visited many restaurants that are well known. This restaurant serve best steak and stone crab we have ever had, even much better than New York's top steakhouse.

Always have dinner at a Gibsons restaurant, usually the Rosemont location. It’s not that the ambience in Rosemont is bad, but we fell in love with Gibsons Italia. A bit more modern in its decor with the same excellent food and a fabulous view! My new favorite Chicago restaurant!

The food was good but it arrived cold, especially the meatballs. We asked the waiter to warm them up, which they did. For the price we paid, this shouldn’t have been an issue.
