Nestled within the Domain Road enclave in South Yarra with indoor and outdoor seating overlooking the stunning Royal Botanic Gardens sits Gilson.

Gilson’s intimate dining room is available for breakfast, lunch and dinner 7 days a week and caters for large groups and private dining events.

Gilson offers an all day menu focusing on Italian cuisine and seasonal flavours.

A neighbourhood favourite due to its relaxed setting, friendly staff, fabulous drinks list and dishes such as the ‘avocado bruschetta’ for breakfast, the ‘Seafood Linguine' for lunch or dinner, and a 'tiramisu' for dessert.

Wood fired pizza is also available for lunch and dinner cooked in the custom built oven.

Gilson's brunch service is available for walk-ins with reservations available from midday.

We have a really great dinner, so happy I booked Gilson. We had a table of 6 and we all enjoyed the food and it was so busy, but we still had good attention from our waiters. Also the Spagetti Cacio Pepi was amazing. 😁🫶🏻

Amazing antipasto choices, we really enjoyed them - you can make a meal out of the antipasto alone! This place has a real buzz about it in a Saturday night, it was great to sit outside and enjoy the crowds.

I love the atmosphere but you don’t need the music when the cafe is busy. It’s noisy!

Thank you to the team at Gilson for helping to make my bridesmaid proposal special! They were very attentive and the food was incredible as always!

Food and service was great. Vibe was good. Very, very noisy indoors very hard to have a conversation without shouting. Once peak hour was over, very pleasant.

WHAT CAN I SAY, I HAVE BEEN MANY TIMES AND UP TILL TODAY FOOD IS ALWAYS GREAT, STAFF ARE TREMENDOUS AND ATMOSHERE IS ANOTHER LEVEL. MY GO TO PLACE ON LAZY FRIDAY SUNNY AFTERNOON.

Absolutely loved the pizza and pasta!! However, the kingfish was much tougher and not as enjoyable as we remembered from our last visit. Will definitely dine again though as the pasta, pizza and service was great!
