Presentation was nice. Ordered eggplant parm. I saw sliced yellow squash, not breaded, but no eggplant. Covered in sauce then baked with cheese. Tasted ok just not what I was expecting when ordering this familiar dish with eggplant in its name.

They ran out of bread, didn’t have the wine we selected and no lids for take out! Service was fair. Won’t be going back!

My party of 6 booked the reservation under open table and they had no record of our reservation. The hostess seemed almost angry that we referenced open table. Then, we sat in the main dining area which had large clumps of dust on the floor. As we waited for our food and throughout our meal, we observed that the lights were flickering for some reason. The food was average. For the same price, we could have eaten at Ruth’s Chris or similar. The one bright spot was that our server was friendly and attentive. We will not be returning.

Place wasn’t busy at all. Maybe 5 tables max were occupied. Waitress seated us proceeded to take our drink order. Then this is where it went sideways. We’ve never been to this restaurant so we needed some time to look over the menu. She came back like really quick to get our order. After 2 times we placed our order & had a few questions. Did we get any sides & what was the salad option? She came back with the oil for the bread. Then she disappeared. Apparently she walked out & left it for the others to fill in. My salad was wrong. Food is way overpriced for what you get. I didn’t get my choice of side (pasta or seasoned vegetables). One of the worst experiences I’ve had to celebrate our 19th anniversary. I doubt we’ll ever come back.

Next time I will stick with wine because cocktails are not their specialty. Food is delicious but I’ve never had chicken Parmesan that doesn’t come with pasta. House salad was very good with balls of mozzarella, and the bread was good. It was noisier and busier than usual and we were seated in the middle of the restaurant outside the kitchen. I would request a booth next time.

Our families experience at Giovanni's was not a good one. This would be the first time I've ever written a negative review, but it is very much Justified. We went on New Year's Eve with a Groupon that we intended to use. They had a limited menu, because of the holiday evening, and that was the first disappointment. I ordered a salmon and shrimp meal that came with a salad and vegetables. The portion was incredibly small, with three shrimp and a small piece of salmon. The vegetables consisted of a piece of lettuce tomato and some cheese. To top it off, when I tried to use my Groupon, I was told I could not use it because of the holiday season. They mentioned that this was in the fine print for the groupon. I showed the server might Groupon and the fine print which said nothing about it being a holiday issue. She went to get the owner but he was on the phone and refused to come to speak to the table. It was a poor experience and so many things could have made this a better experience

It was my 18th wedding anniversary and I couldn't have asked for a better evening. Or server, was prompt, courteous, and informative. The hostess was very kind, and kept a smile on her face. She took pictures for my wife and I, even suggested a pose hahaha. The food was fantastic, it arrived quickly and just as we ordered it. 10/10 we'll definitely be back.
