   Food is really overpriced and I wouldn’t say there is a great selection of dishes. Crab spaghetti was very good but too salty. French onion soup was so so… maybe 7/10. My husband ordered the octopus starter which was delicious all around. Our server (don’t remember her name) was excellent. Once she got to know our jokes she took it all in stride and fell into rhythm with us. Had a before dinner Dubonnet and there was literally one ounce in the glass… I was done in two sips. Also a guess the ventilation is poor as our clothes smelled of the cooking when we got home.

   A feast for the eyes, perhaps, but sadly not for the palate!!!What a pity to witness such potential fall flat under the weight of an overzealous salt shaker!!

   Our first time dining here was great! Andrew our server was amazing. They made us custome craft cocktails and the food was delicious. Would definitely come back!

   Wow - the food was amazing. We had the French onion soup - delicious and perfect eating temperature. The pork, the crab spaghetti and the truffle pommes aligot with bordelaise sauce. The ambiance was lovely, as was our server, and the cocktails were good too.

   Amazing food. However no French onion soup available 😡 Everything else was top notch. The chef is amazing.

Our kitchen prepares our menus from scratch and generally does a great job keeping up with prep however we were a bit busier this week than expected.    Spectacular evening at Gitanes. Bernard has done a seminal job turning this restaurant into a must see. The food has always been great but the vibe now matches. Terrific service and vibe.

    Hello Michel, thank you for taking time to share your feedback. We're sorry to hear you didn't see value in our dishes. Our ingredients are sustainably sourced from local farms and fisheries and everything is prepared from scratch. While this does affect our menu prices, it is an important part of what we do. That said, we have special pricing on Thursdays. 'Steak Frites et Vin' is our weekly date night promotion featuring our classic Steak Frites for $30 rather than the normal menu price of $45 with Côtes du Rhône to pair for $12.
