For a savvy, sophisticated diner you will appreciate some subtle nuisances that shows the chef and team understand that fine dining is more than throwing ingredients into a hot pan. The elements that compose the dishes are complex and demonstrate both depth and clarity in the chef's vision. Each ingredient shows a fastidiousness and exactness where the pepitos (pumpkin seeds) had just the right toasting, the pappardelle was al dente and the shrimp were delicate and perfectly prepared. The menu doesn't pay enough homage to the French rubric in their self-description of French cuisine. But enough of a nod to be recognized and saluted. Where the restaurant falls short is in its service starting at the front host stand where the gatekeeper feels more like an ogre than the maitre dame. The service was polite but infantile in its completely inferior and elementary knowledge of the menu, its reference points, how it's made, and what it portends to be. The server see his role as a delivery boy rather than a tour guide. When asked for a few menu descriptions, crusty shards of overly used jargon (such as "yes, it's tasty" or regard to a cheese description "it's not spicy". The timing of the meal was thrown off by our server who was pleasant and cordial at every table because (it appeared) he was one of two servers for a whole restaurant. Polite and pleasant yet unable to crack the whip of mastering mind melting descriptions of basic questions about the menu that set the dinner guest at ease for their gastronomic adventure. Great service teams whip the guests into a gastronomic frenzy by mastering their context. This was akin to the librarian filling in for the football coach. Nice but not commanding. The wine list is brief and lacks enviable "oomph" We chose cheese as dessert which show little knowledge of the whizzy world of fermented milk. At $240 for two it was not the experience we had hoped for. But I'm jaded. It "tasted good" but fine dining is much more than that.

Hidden gem! Everything and everyone was top notch. The NYE prix fixe menu was to die for. All my senses were peaked. The platings were beautiful. Every bite was enjoyable. The pate was to die for! And, the soup had such an amazing mouth feel! Lamb and curry are typically not my favorites, but after tasting my husband's entree, I have been converted. My husband is not a duck fan, but he loved the smoked breast. My drinks were also very good. The hotel and gallery were beautiful and impressive. All the staff were on point making this a memorable evening. Definitely worth the drive from Yorktown and will be returning soon.😄

GL was an awesome experience. From the time walked in my and wife and knew it was going to be a vibe. The ambience, the service, servers and the food - OMG. Had the opportunity to talk the chefs as they checked on us. GL chefs and crew thank you for great evening. Definitely recommend and will make my way back there soon.

Took an associate as a “date” to go undercover and review. First and foremost I want to say, the ambiance, seating and service were all impeccable. They were welcoming, cozy, great. Now the issue moved on to the food and drinks. Ordered a whiskey sour (which wasn’t bad considering the bartender delivered them and informed me he used the last of my preferred whiskey) my dates drink was like a pink lady or something of the sort. Did not match the description, it battled itself within that glass between the strawberry, pineapple and chocolate. Its identity was akin to John from “Split” to be honest. Tried another drink, not memorable at all. In the end my associate settled for a Shirley temple. For appetizer, we went with the crispy squid. The dish was fun to look at it, the squid was actually perfectly cooked, however we both stared at it for a minute agreeing that “instructions were unclear” due to the fact that the architecture of the dish was two levels and we weren’t informed we could eat below the blue disk in the bowl which looked plastic. Still a fun dish, but would’ve been nice to have known before digging in. Mains: I opted to try their duck confit, with my associate going for the seafood parppadelle. The duck was bland, there was no makeup or jewelry or perfume for that matter, which isn’t an issue when it comes to duck. My problem with it, however, was that the duck didn’t even have any clothes on. Not a hint of flavor or seasonings. It didn’t appeal in the plate either. I could only taste what I assumed was the steel of the frying pan and residual grease kept behind to be drizzled over it. For the seafood parppadelle, it looked fun. That’s all I can say. My associate was displeased so much, that I offered to switch dishes, which she agreed and ended up finishing the Duck. She exclaimed that the duck had more flavor, ironically, than the seafood parppadelle and I must concur. The parpadelle was 90% cooked, mussels and shrimp lacked flavor. Overall 5/10

Drinks are quite small. Soup was great. Burrata salad was also. My husband’s burger was tasty. Fries also! My eggplant dish was not good at all. Veggies were lukewarm and not cooked well. The Eggplant was so mushy. They did take it off the bill. Waiter was good but busy.
