They changed ownership I understand in January. From our last trip there, a few month back, my wife mentioned that the calamari portion was smaller and not as crispy. Her scallops were great as usual. I got a special pasta dish that was basically a meat sauce, like a Sunday gravy, and it tasted good, it seemed to be a smaller portion that what I expected, especially when it was $29.00, should have gone with the wild boar Bolognese or steak like I normally do. Garlic bread was as it was before. Since they are just starting up, will give them a little time to get their feet under them. What I wish they would do is more pasta dishes or have veal dishes like veal or chicken saltimbocca.

Another excellent meal at Glass Onion! Was so happy to see that the ambience and quality were still tops even after the recent ownership change. Laura and Rusty know what they are doing and are worthy successors to Natalie and Eddie. Congrats and best wishes for a long tenure in Weaverville!

Wonderful gem, delicious fettuccine with mushrooms, great pear and beet salad, the scallops special was amazing. Beautiful relaxing intimate atmosphere and great servers. Absolutely will return.

Valentine’s Day with my sweetheart and my teenager was a huge success! Under new ownership — and same great food and excellent service. A gem in downtown Weaverville. Old world Italian at its finest. Great wine selection.
