Review summary

AI-generated from verified diner reviews
Glasshouse offers a "lovely environment" with a stunning seafront view and beautiful decor. The "food was excellent," particularly their Sunday roasts, and the staff are described as "friendly and attentive." While there have been some teething issues with service and menu availability, many guests are optimistic about its potential and plan to return.

The venue and staff are lovely but sadly there are not many healthy or exciting lunch options and what was served could be elevated for the prices being charged. The beef and mustard brioche bun had a lot of gristle in it. A little rocket in the roll or a side salad to be included for the price could enhance the offering. The chorizo and crayfish flatbread was ok, again no garnish on the plate and the crayfish were very over cooked. We definitely expected better. It is a great shame as it’s a beautiful restaurant but like minded even slightly foodie people might be disappointed like we were, or we both made bad choices.

Had a great Monday brunch. Good ambience which is often hard to find early in the week, we were glad we had booked although I think there were still a few tables empty. Food was good with ample options for gluten and dairy free intolerances. Staff were delightful and professional. All round great experience with a sea view too. Will definitely return.

We thoroughly enjoyed our Sunday roast. Booked for 5 pm so quiet when we arrives, but by 5.45 a few tables arrived which gave a nice quiet atmosphere.

Excellent Sunday lunch best around. Service excellent and a nice ambiance. But don’t take the table by the door as the door shuts with a bang and there is a cold draft. More than normal people closing doors as the restaurant serves coffee and drink. (Which is great)Maybe a screen is needed and fix the door.

Beautiful setting, clean toilets etc. food was delicious. However the bread as a side order came out in a strange metal camping plate& felt the wine was expensive for a sauv blanc (£36/bottle). With that being said we did have a lovely evening and it’s a really gorgeous restaurant with choices for all. The outdoor areas will be really beautiful in the warmer months.
