Greeks tend to associate pleasures with homemade food, quality wine and good company. Heirs of the richest gastronomy they always search for a special hangout that combines the intimate atmosphere of home with mama's kitchen aromas. When Mr. George and his wife Maria decided after more than 50 years of experience in cooking and restaurant business to create "Gods' Restaurant" they couldn't have not respected these principles. At the family - owned "Gods' Restaurant" you will feel right at home with rustic and hospitable atmosphere. Mrs. Maria and their two sons along with the executive chef create authentic recipes from all over Greece, like grape leaves, the famous lamb "kleftiko", cheese pie with honey & Greek kebab “Sheftalia”. There are also some unique dishes which you can hardly find elsewhere, such as ravioli stuffed with beef & spices with red pepper & yoghurt-mint sauce, slow-cooked goat with pappardelle pasta, Cretan macaroni "skioufichta" and the caramelized octopus

What an experience. The menu covers a wide variety or foods for the picky eaters. The portions are huge don’t fill up on the apps. Staff was so nice and the prices were great.

The people at OpenTable are lovely as is the ambience. My friend recommended this restaurant because her family toured Athens 10 or more years ago and her son still talks about the fish he ate here. I, of course, had to have that fish and know I’ll talk about it for 10+ years too! My children also enjoyed the grilled shrimp and moussaka! When you’re in Athens, Greece, don’t miss this place!

We had a great time eating here. We are from the US. they had a ton of vegan and dairy free options on the menu. The menu was super easy to order from being both in Greek and in English so if you are a traveler who doesn’t speak Greek like me don’t worry! The staff is also fluent in English !! The food was great!

Nice Restaurant. Excellent food. Service initially outstanding...faded over time. Didn't care for card paying procedure. No swipe or chip. Had to give card to waiter. But, still enjoyed dinner.

The service was amazing. Our waiter was very accommodating to our lack of knowledge of the Greek menu. He was helpful in making good decisions on what to order and the food that we did order was so delicious! He brought us extras following the meal including a regional drink and some local grapes. It added an additional layer of enjoyment to the experience!

Excellent experience. In the first 10 minutes we were there we saw the owner offer a solo diner a complimentary dessert, while inviting her to sit to enjoy it with a woman I believe may have been his mother. The gesture made this young woman light up. He then helped reset a table, and all the staff ran food, greeted guests, checked on tables, regardless of if they were the assigned server… The culture was very “how you do anything, even the small things, is how you do everything,” and the pride in the establishment was obvious throughout. The food was amazing, but the atmosphere and really put it over the top for us.

Great service and AMAZING food! The grilled mushrooms were delicious and so were our main dishes. I definitely recommend it.

GR is easily reached if you are in the city centre. We had dinner and the food was just awesome. We had sea breem and sea bass and they were cooked to perfection. The service was great and the service staff seems full of energy despite continuously manouvering up and down the stairs to serve us on the mezzanine. The decor was very pleasantly decorated. We are heading back to GR again this coming Monday.
